Analyst, Demand Planning

ROLE DESCRIPTION SUMMARY

As a Demand Planning Analyst, you will collaborate with Regional VPโ€™s, Product VPโ€™s and Engineering teams to make sure equipment and resources are available to meet installation and maintenance needs for all customers in the Americas region and specializing in servicing our OEM partners.  Our goal is to make sure that SES Inflight is installed on as many aircraft as possible and our team is the bridge to translating sales commitments and product upgrades into solid purchasing and delivery plans through the S&OP process.  This activity drives our success and directly impacts revenue generation and cost control.  Without a highly functioning demand plan, we will fail to service our customers and meet our financial goals.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES / KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Collaborate with Regional Vice Presidents to create a single version of the truth for planned installation & upgrades demand schedules, and other sales activities to drive core business decisions through S&OP process.
  • Lead cross functional IPTs with accounts, program management and operational teams to provide program health for Airline Fleet specific parts based on product life cycle planning and engineering certification schedules. This includes identifying risks and opportunities for purchasing and LRU planning, as well as coordination of new purchases to ensure PO coverage is available for demand for 12 months.
  • Collaborate with our OEM customers shipments to efficiently supply equipment to global assembly lines under strict regulations, as well as harmonizing essential spares planning in multiple locations.
  • Coordinate with procurement & purchasing teams to ensure that timing of receipts meets the demand schedule and that receipts are adjusted where needed.
  • Coordinate with our Inflight Entertainment and warehouse teams to manage high volume monthly forecasts and executing shipments for customers across the world.
  • Provide continual improvement of the planning, reporting, and communication processes including publishing weekly Itasca and Amsterdam metrics for Forecast, Quality, RMAs and production.
  • Continually reviews processes and systems to identify opportunities to minimize wasteful spending and optimize our resources.
  • Work with accounting team to ensure completeness of the monthly financial statements and variance explanations.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in business, Supply Chain or related field (an equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered)
  • 2-5 years of experience in supply chain planning.
  • Experience with SAP, Microsoft Navision, or comparable ERP/MRP applications with ability to teach others
  • Experience with complex configuration management in a regulated environment

The salary range for this full-time position is $71,175 - $104,000.Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and geographic location. Individual compensation within the range is determined based on work location and a variety of factors, including job-related skills, experience, qualifications, and relevant education or training. Additional compensation and benefits may apply depending on the location and terms of employment.
