What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as an Inbound Sales Rep, and why are they important?

To thrive as an Inbound Sales Rep, strong communication skills, persuasive abilities, and a customer-oriented mindset are essential, often supported by a high school diploma or equivalent. Familiarity with CRM software, call center systems, and sales automation tools is typically required. Active listening, resilience, and relationship-building are standout soft skills in this role. These capabilities enable reps to convert inquiries into sales, build customer loyalty, and consistently meet or exceed sales targets.

How does an Inbound Sales Rep typically collaborate with marketing and customer support teams?

Inbound Sales Reps often work closely with marketing to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads and to provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness. They also collaborate with customer support to address any pre-sale product questions or issues prospective customers might have, ensuring a positive experience from the very first interaction. This cross-functional teamwork helps Inbound Sales Reps better understand customer needs and deliver tailored solutions, ultimately driving higher conversion rates and customer satisfaction.

What are Inbound Sales Reps?

Inbound Sales Representatives are professionals who handle incoming inquiries from potential customers, typically via phone, email, or online chat. Their main responsibility is to engage with prospects who have already shown interest in a company's products or services, answer questions, and guide them through the sales process. Unlike outbound sales reps who proactively reach out to potential customers, inbound sales reps focus on nurturing warm leads and converting them into customers. They play a crucial role in building customer relationships, understanding client needs, and ensuring a positive buying experience.

Located in Scottsdale, AZ
Pay: $50,000 + Commission
Job Full Description
Inside Sales Representative (Inbound | High-Ticket | Scottsdale, AZ)
Location: Scottsdale, AZ (In-Office Only)
Compensation: Base + Commission (Strong Earning Potential)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday
About the Role
We are partnering with a well-established medical organization (25+ years) to hire Inside Sales Representatives for a newly launched telehealth program focused on cancer and chronic disease support.
This program is designed to make advanced care more accessible to patients nationwide-providing remote guidance, testing, and treatment planning at a significantly lower cost.
This is not a transactional sales role.
You will be speaking with individuals facing serious health challenges. Success in this role requires a balance of sales ability, emotional intelligence, and genuine empathy.
What You'll Do
  • Handle inbound leads only (no cold calling)
  • Conduct initial consultations with prospective patients and families
  • Assess needs, gather background, and determine program fit
  • Educate prospects on services in a clear, compassionate manner
  • Build trust through calm, consultative conversations
  • Transition qualified prospects to senior closers
  • Maintain detailed notes and activity in CRM systems (Salesforce, GoHighLevel)

Sales Environment
  • 100% inbound lead flow
  • Consultative, not aggressive sales approach
  • Focus is on fit and education, not pressure
  • High-ticket service ($16K-$20K range)
  • Emotionally sensitive conversations (patients navigating serious conditions)

What We're Looking For
Required:
  • 1+ year of sales, customer service, or patient-facing experience
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build trust quickly
  • Comfortable working in-office, 5 days per week
  • Tech-savvy (CRM systems, basic computer proficiency)

Preferred Backgrounds:
  • Inside sales or high-ticket sales
  • Medical, healthcare, or patient coordination
  • Psychology, behavioral health, or counseling
  • Administrative roles requiring calm, structured communication

Who Succeeds in This Role
  • You are empathetic and patient, not pushy
  • You can navigate emotional conversations with professionalism
  • You are competitive and driven, while maintaining a calm tone
  • You listen well and guide conversations naturally
  • You are reliable, consistent, and show up every day

What You'll Get
  • Inbound leads provided (no prospecting required)
  • Opportunity to sell a meaningful, life-impacting service
  • Strong earning potential with performance-based incentives
  • Growth opportunity within a rapidly expanding program
  • Work alongside a team focused on quality and long-term impact

Important Notes
  • This is a fully in-office role in Scottsdale, AZ
  • Candidates must be comfortable discussing high-ticket services ($16K-$20K)
  • This is a selective hiring process-we are looking for top-tier candidates who align with both the role and the mission

Why This Role is Different
Most sales roles focus purely on numbers.
This role requires you to combine performance with purpose-helping people navigate some of the most important decisions of their lives.
