Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, coordinate, and manage all phases of assigned construction projects, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, quality standards, and safety protocols.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, architects, designers, engineers, trade partners, and internal teams to ensure effective communication, project alignment, and successful execution.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, including scope, timelines, resources, and milestones.
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, review financial reports, and implement corrective actions as needed to ensure financial goals are met.
  • Identify potential risks and issues in projects, develop mitigation strategies, and proactively address challenges to ensure project success.
  • Oversee procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project specifications.
  • Lead project meetings, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and maintain proactive and transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Foster a culture of safety by promoting and enforcing safety policies and procedures on construction sites.
  • Drive continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes, identifying areas for enhancement, and implementing best practices across projects.
  • Mentor and develop project team members, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for growth.
  • Develop strong relationships with clients, retain current repeat clients, and identify and nurture prospective clients.
Qualifications

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management, demonstrating a track record of successfully delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Profound knowledge of construction processes, techniques, and best practices.
  • Experience with project management software and tools for scheduling, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts.
  • Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and permitting processes.
  • Strong understanding of jobsite safety practices and OSHA 10-hour or 30-hour certification preferred.
  • History of continual professional learning, growth, and development

Additional Information

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain in a stationary position (e.g., standing or sitting) for extended periods when reviewing plans or conducting meetings.
  • Ability to move about active construction sites, including walking on uneven terrain, climbing ladders or scaffolding, ascending/descending stairs, and navigating tight spaces.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Ability to read printed plans, drawings, and computer screens, and conduct conversations in person and via phone/radio in noisy environments.
  • Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions and temperatures.
  • Ability to operate standard office and site inspection tools (e.g., laptop, tablet, measuring devices, etc.)
