About the Jobย 

Operating within the Project Architecture & Delivery team within Global Operations, theย Tecsysย Project Manager works closely with the customer project manager to provide overall project management for customer implementations.ย 

The Project Architecture & Delivery team is instrumental in the solutioning and architecting of theย Tecsysย implementation since itsย inceptionย in the Sales cycle,ย is responsible forย the development and continuous improvement of its proprietary implementationย methodologyย and the Project Management ofย Tecsysย deliveries. This individual will manage multiple concurrent projects and will coordinate and oversee the technical and functional activities associated with these projects.ย 

The Project Manager, supported by aย Tecsysย Project Advisor and Executive Sponsor, is responsible to ensure a successful implementation. The role also includes allocation of resources, priority definition, and coordination of interactions with the stakeholders, working with the project team to evaluate effort,ย risksย and solutions to risks, and keep the project team focused on the right goals. The Project Manager adheres to theย Tecsysย Project Management and Implementationย methodologyย that ensure the integrity and quality of project artifacts and overall delivery.ย 

Responsibilities:ย 

  • Manage multiple software implementation projects concurrently, from start to finishย 
  • Define and document project scope, schedule,ย milestonesย and deliverables that support our customers' businessย objectivesย in partnership with internal and external stakeholdersย 
  • Ensure project alignment with internal proprietary implementationย methodologyย and best practices to enforce project management standards and delivery qualityย 
  • Direct and coordinate the activities of a multi-disciplinary team of consultants and experts within a matrix organization, to ensure on-schedule and on-budget deliveryย 
  • Track project against the plan,ย anticipateย risks which may require contingency plans, recommend corrective action, and ensure stakeholders are kept informedย 
  • Drive regular status meetings with internal and customer's project teams and communicate effectively on all expected activities,ย deliverablesย and timingย 
  • Ensure all customer commitments, deliverables,ย timelinesย and milestones are followed through to completionย 
  • Report weekly on project status and progress to internal and external stakeholdersย 
  • Build andย maintainย a positive, collaborative relationships with internal partners, as well as external vendors/consultantsย 
  • Support the architecting/estimating of sales opportunities and the creation of Statements of Work (senior positions would expect to lead these initiatives from start to finish)ย 
  • Provide guidance, coaching and advice to less experienced staff membersย 

Requirements

Requirements & Preferred Experience:ย 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing Software Implementation projects as a service provider to external customers, related to Warehousing, Distribution,ย Retailย or any other ERP Projectsย 
  • Experience in either the Healthcare/Hospital industry or in Supply Chain, Logistics & Complex Distributionย 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of project management processes (project planning, resource scheduling/booking, stakeholder management,ย financial managementย and issue/risk management)ย 
  • Demonstrated understanding and experience of project delivery methodologies and application of these approaches in a formal project environmentย 
  • Demonstrated ability to develop reliable project timelines and deliver against themย 
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively with end users, IT, employees, and vendors/consultantsย 
  • Provenย track recordย of managing large, high-complexity projects,ย comprisingย of multiple vendors and solutions (having managed budgets of at least $2 million)ย 
  • Strong customer management skillsย 
  • Expert user of project management softwareย 
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Englishย 
  • PMP certification would be a plusย 
  • This position requires travel within North America of up to 20%ย 
  • Strongย proficiencyย in both written and verbal Englishย
