The Project Manager, Licensed Software ("Project Manager") manages internal and external software division projects to completion, including defining project scope, tasks, project teams, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation; and prepares and reviews deliverables in connection with project delivery. The Project Manager oversees the functional and technical direction of projects, including on-time and on-budget delivery of project tasks, such as detailed requirements analysis, process design and configuration, deliverables, and installation and implementation of Licensed Software technologies and platforms. The Project Manager also interfaces with Software product teams, maintains and supports existing partnerships, manages client relationships, and provides technical leadership and guidance to his/her team and clients on project status and adherence to timeline and budget. The Project Manager also assists with business development activities by preparing proposals and engagement agreements, demonstrating solutions and participating in project calls and meetings.

    Client:

  • Provide Architecture Review Board (ARB) operational support, including scheduling meetings, preparing agendas, documenting decisions, tracking action items, and maintaining a searchable archive of outcomes.

  • Administer and continuously improve Change Approval Board (CAB) processes using Ivanti Tax.com, ensuring accurate dashboards, reporting, approver participation, and adherence to governance standards.

  • Leverage AI tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to improve accuracy, timeliness, and clarity of client-facing communications, meeting summaries, and status reporting.

  • Creates, maintains, and executes communication plans and communication protocols.

  • Creates, maintains, and executes project escalation and remediation policies.

  • Creates and executes project workplans and enforces proper methodology and standards.

  • Creates and maintains master project resource contact lists for the delivery team and our client team to utilize as necessary.

  • Creates processes to track adherence to project timelines and budgets to enable forecasting of material variances.

  • Develops workplans, schedules and resource assignments associated with project deliverables.

    Value:

  • Maintain and enhance dashboards and status reports covering Disaster Recovery readiness, Security posture, Reliability metrics, CI/CD, testing, and monitoring tools (PagerDuty, Datadog, QA environments).

  • Partner with technology, security, and PMO leadership to identify risks, communicate dependencies, and drive remediation plans with clear milestones.

  • Increase productivity and insight through expanded use of AI for reporting, vendor/product research, and continuous process improvement across ARB, CAB, and operational governance.

  • Reviews project documentation detailing business and system processes and works with the product team and clients to help review, define, and document existing transaction tax processes.

  • Reviews project deliverables, including creating, composing, and editing written materials.

  • Assists with billing and financial forecasting.

  • Prepares and distributes project status reports to all project stakeholders.

  • Develops templates and format specifications for project deliverables for review and approval.

  • Manages day-to-day operational aspects of projects.

  • Defines project success criteria and creates the metrics to enable them to be measured.

  • Assists with business development activities (e.g., preparation of proposals and engagement agreements, and attending prospect calls and meetings).

  • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree from a four-year college or university and a minimum of three to five years of experience with software solution implementations.
  • Degrees in Accounting, Tax, or Information Technology are desirable.
  • The candidate should have relevant experience in implementing financial process automation solutions; experience in transaction taxes is particularly desirable.

    Computer Skills:

  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Microsoft Project, Outlook, and Internet navigation and research.
  • Prior experience with transaction tax software is highly desirable.

    Certificates and Licenses:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required.

    Supervisory Responsibilities:

    This position requires supervisory responsibilities.

    Work Environment:

  • Standard indoor working environment.
  • Occasional long periods of sitting while working at computer.
  • Position requires regular interaction with employees at all levels of the firm as well as interaction with external vendors and clients as necessary.
  • Independent travel requirement: up to 10%.
