Project Manager - Utility Systems (ServiceNow / ITSM)
Summary:
We're looking for a Project Manager with a strong background in the utilities industry to lead the implementation and optimization of enterprise service management platforms (such as ServiceNow or similar tools). This role will drive cross-functional initiatives that improve operational workflows, service delivery, and system integration across utility environments.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of ITSM / service management platform implementations within a utility environment
  • Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risk across multiple stakeholders
  • Partner with business units (operations, field services, IT, customer service) to gather requirements and translate into technical solutions
  • Oversee system configuration, integrations, and data migration efforts
  • Coordinate with vendors, consultants, and internal teams to ensure successful delivery
  • Drive process improvement initiatives tied to service request management, incident management, and workflow automation
  • Ensure alignment with regulatory, compliance, and operational standards within the utilities industry
  • Provide regular project updates, reporting, and executive-level communication

Requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Project Management experience
  • Experience working within utilities (gas, electric, water, or energy) environments
  • Hands-on experience implementing or managing ServiceNow or similar ITSM / workflow platforms (e.g., Jira Service Management, BMC Remedy, Cherwell)
  • Strong understanding of ITSM processes (incident, problem, change management)
  • Experience managing cross-functional stakeholders and vendor teams
  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with customer-facing utility systems or service portals
  • Familiarity with integrations across enterprise systems (ERP, GIS, asset management)
