Job description

Job Description

We are FIS. Our technology powers the world’s economy and our teams bring innovation to life. We champion diversity to deliver the best products and solutions for our colleagues, clients, and communities. If you’re ready to start learning, growing, and making an impact with a career in fintech, we’d like to know: Are you FIS?

About the role: As a Senior Implementation Analyst supporting debit solutions, you will serve as the primary client‑facing lead responsible for guiding financial institutions through the full implementation and migration lifecycle. You will partner directly with clients to understand their products, data, and operational needs, configure FIS systems accordingly, and lead them through data mapping, testing, and conversion to target platforms (e.g., Payments One Debit). This role is highly hands‑on, with a strong emphasis on client support, system configuration, and ensuring successful, low‑risk migrations. You will act as both advisor and execution lead—coaching clients through setup, validating outputs, and ensuring readiness for production cutover.

Hybrid Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Onsite: Tuesdays, Wednesdays & Thursdays

About the team: You will be part of the Professional Services Migration Office team, responsible for onboarding clients and executing complex debit platform conversions. This team works across Product, Technology, Operations, and the Migration Office to deliver coordinated, large‑scale transformations and ensure clients are fully supported from initiation through post‑conversion stabilization.

What you will be doing
  • Leading client implementations and migrations end‑to‑end, acting as the primary point of contact from project initiation through post‑go‑live support
  • Partnering closely with clients to define products and configure solutions, including BIN setup, card programs, limits, fees, and transaction controls
  • Conducting detailed data analysis and mapping, translating client data into technical specifications that drive system configuration and conversion accuracy
  • Creating and validating transaction workflows and conversion mappings, ensuring all fields and processes are accurately translated into FIS platforms
  • Driving testing and validation activities, including SIT, UAT, and readiness reviews to confirm system setup, data integrity, and operational readiness
  • Guiding clients through readiness, training, and procedural updates, ensuring proper use of FIS systems and successful adoption post‑conversion
  • Leading conversion execution and onsite/virtual cutover support, troubleshooting issues, validating outputs, and obtaining client sign‑off on results
  • Providing ongoing client support throughout the migration lifecycle, including issue resolution, balancing validation, and post‑conversion stabilization
What you bring
  • Strong expertise in debit processing, including authorization, clearing, settlement, and transaction flows
  • Proven ability to support clients through configuration and migration, including translating business requirements into system setup
  • Demonstrated experience in data mapping, data validation, and system conversion execution
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and client relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple implementations in a fast‑paced, high‑risk environment
  • 5–8+ years of experience in payments, debit processing, or financial services implementations
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Required work hours: Standard business hours with flexibility during implementations

Overtime required: Yes, during critical migration and cutover periods

Weekends required: Yes, for conversion events

Travel percentage for this role: Up to 10–15%

Added Bonus if you have
  • Experience with Payments One Debit (P1D) or similar debit platforms
  • Prior experience supporting EFT switch migrations or core/payment processor conversions
  • Knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging and transaction‑level data flows
  • Previous banking or debit card operations experience
What we offer you

A career at FIS is more than just a job. It’s the chance to shape the future of fintech. At FIS, we offer you:

  • A voice in the future of fintech
  • Always‑on learning and development
  • Collaborative work environment
  • Opportunities to give back
  • Competitive salary and benefits
Bottom Line

This role is a critical client‑facing execution position responsible for ensuring successful debit implementations and migrations through hands‑on configuration, data mapping, and continuous client support. Success in this role directly reduces migration risk, accelerates client readiness, and ensures high‑quality conversion outcomes.
