Job description

Medical Assistant

Immediate contract position available for our OBGYN physician practice group in Deer Park, NY.

Note: Experience in OBGYN preferred

Pay Rate: $23.00/hr Work Schedule:

  • 8:30am - 4:30pm (Monday)
  • 9:00am - 5:00pm (Tuesday)
  • 12:00pm - 8:00pm (Thursday)
  • 8:00am - 4:00pm (Friday)
  • 32 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Obtain the patient's medical history and document in the electronic medical record
  • Medical chart review, assisting providers, rooming patients, taking patient vital signs, phlebotomy and preparation of exam rooms
  • Assist with front desk responsibilities, as needed

Qualifications:

  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program
  • Experience in OBGYN preferred
  • BLS Certification
  • Be able to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
  • EPIC system experience a plus
