General Statement of Duties Assists the Recreation Supervisor with overall supervision of staff, management of facility and programming. The Recreation Leaders will serve as the administrative leads for our Learn to Skate and Learn to Play Hockey programs, as well as the annual skate competition (tentatively scheduled for 3/7/2027). Regular duties include scheduling of instructors, aides, skate guards, and scoreboard operators.
This position also coordinates the schedule for birthday parties, special events, and private lessons. This is a seasonal position that runs from approximately mid-August to late March. Hours: Approximately 25-35 hours per week, primarily during skating school sessions.
Qualifications Must possess high school diploma. Must be proficient with computers, including Microsoft Office Suite software. Demonstrated ability to quickly learn industry-related software such as RecTrac.
Demonstrated customer service skills, including telephone etiquette. Proven abilities for organization, handling monetary transactions, and supervision. Demonstrated communication skills and ability to maintain positive working relationships with staff and public.
Skating or hockey experience preferred but not required. Must possess, or be willing to obtain, CPR and First Aid certification.
