Front Desk Attendant

The Front Desk Attendant serves as the first point of contact for customers and visitors at the Rochester Ice Center. This role is essential in providing excellent customer service, managing front desk operations, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all patrons.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and welcome customers and visitors with a friendly and professional demeanor.
  • Answer and direct phone calls, respond to inquiries, and provide information about the facility's services and events.
  • Handle customer check-ins and registrations for public skates, hockey games, figure skating shows, and other events.
  • Process payments for admission, rentals, and other services using the facility's point-of-sale system.
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area.
  • Help coordinating rink activities and events.
  • Address customer complaints or issues, escalating them to the appropriate supervisor if necessary.
  • Monitor and manage the front entrance to ensure the safety and security of the facility.
  • Provide support to other staff members as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a customer service or front desk role preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle cash transactions accurately.
  • Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems.
