Description / Position OverviewProgram Administrator I - Sertich Ice Center & Acacia Park - Skate in the ParkIn this position, you will oversee, direct, and coordinate programs and activities of the Sertich Ice Center & Acacia Park - Skate in the Park programs for Parks, Recreation, and Cultural Services.
This position is subject to budget required furloughs to be implemented in the 2026 calendar year.
As a Program Administrator I, you will:- Establish facility schedules for internal & external programming
- Provide assistance in the development, oversight, and monitoring of facility budget
- Assess, plan, implement and evaluate facility programs and activities for all user groups
- Ensure program & facility compliance with City, SafeSport, and SkateSafe rules, regulations, and standards
- Oversee Learn to Skate program including scheduling, marketing, registrations, coach & volunteer compliance, insurance, etc.
- Lead marketing & communication campaigns
- Other duties as assigned

We are looking for candidates who demonstrate:Knowledge of:
- Microsoft Office systems, DocuSign, Adobe, and other administrative systems
- Organizations including Learn to Skate USA, USA Hockey, US Figure Skating, and US Ice Rink Association programs and their programs & administrative systems
- Rink scheduling software such as FinnlySport, or similar point of sale (POS) software systems
- Launching pilot programs & special events
- Trends in the industry
- Professional Skaters Association & figure skating etiquette
- Operating leagues, learn to play classes, and camps
Ability to:
- Communicate clearly and concisely, orally and in writing
- Plan and market ice rink programs, events, and services
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, coaches, clients and customers
- Maintain records of programs and personnel information
- Create and edit basic marketing materials
Minimum QualificationsWe value a diverse range of qualifications and experiences. Our organization views each year of further education as equivalent to each year of relevant work experience, and each year of additional relevant work experience as equivalent to each year of required education.
- A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in Recreation, Sports Management, or a related field
- Three years of full-time professional ice rink administration experience
- Possess or obtain upon hire, a valid, non-probationary Colorado driver's license not subject to restriction related to alcohol and/or drug violations or pending charges

- Five or more years of relevant ice industry work experience
- A hockey, figure skating, and/or rink background as a participant and/or staff member
- USIRA (U.S. Ice Rink Association) CRA (Certified Rink Administrator) designation and/or experience as a hockey or skating director
- Experience overseeing an on-ice skating program
- Knowledge of Learn to Skate USA & US Figure Skating basic skating elements
- Possess, or obtain within 3 months of start date, a Learn to Skate USA Membership
- Possess, or obtain within 3 months of start date, a Safe Sport Certification
- Possess, or obtain within 3 months of start date, a USA Hockey Coaching and/or Hockey Director certification
