OVERVIEW
iTech AG is seeking a Senior ServiceNow Developer to support a federal program by designing, developing, and enhancing ServiceNow solutions in a secure, scalable, and compliant environment. This role serves as a senior technical contributor responsible for building high-quality platform functionality, developing user-facing portals, and supporting core ServiceNow capabilities aligned to mission and business needs. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on ServiceNow development experience, deep familiarity with portal technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively within Agile and SAFe delivery environments. This role requires a developer who can translate requirements into maintainable, performant ServiceNow solutions while adhering to federal standards and best practices.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow solutions to support federal program requirements
  • Build and maintain custom applications, workflows, business rules, and UI policies
  • Develop and enhance ServiceNow ITSM functionality
  • Design, develop, and support ServiceNow portals and web-based user experiences, including Service Portal and/or UI Builder
  • Collaborate with ServiceNow Architects to implement scalable, standards-based solutions
  • Participate in Agile and SAFe ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives
  • Perform code reviews and ensure adherence to development standards and best practices
  • Support platform upgrades, patching, and performance tuning
  • Troubleshoot and resolve ServiceNow defects and production issues
  • Ensure configurations and customizations align with federal security and compliance requirements
  • Contribute to technical documentation and knowledge sharing across the team
  • Support and enhance ITSM knowledge enablement
  • Other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • 5+ years of hands-on ServiceNow development experience
  • Strong experience developing custom ServiceNow applications and platform configurations
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow portal development (Service Portal and/or UI Builder)
  • Proficiency with ServiceNow scripting (JavaScript, Glide APIs)
  • Experience working in Agile or SAFe delivery environments

EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree
  • ServiceNow CSA and CAD or CIS certification

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS):
  • CIS - IT Service Management (ITSM)
  • Experience supporting federal government programs
  • Strong experience with Service Portal, UI Builder, and user experience design
  • Experience configuring ITSM module
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow data model and performance optimization
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
  • Experience supporting DevSecOps-aligned Agile teams

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
