Job description

ServiceNow ITSM Senior Developer

Location: Cincinnati, OH, / San Francisco, CA

Duration: 6 months

Technical Competency

•       Experience as a ServiceNow ITSM Developer and Implementing Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Management, Knowledge Management, or Service Catalog, Mobile App, Virtual Agent

•       Ability to configure ServiceNow ITSM applications in alignment with approved design plans

•       Knowledge of unit testing, system integration testing, performance testing, user acceptance testing, or any client-specific testing

•       Experience with developing ServiceNow software solutions using JavaScript, Jelly, one or more Web Services, XML, HTML and CSS

•       Familiarity with SQL query creation and LDAP Query for connecting to and pulling data from Oracle, MySQL databases and AD respectively

•       Worked with and understands the value in creating repeatable processes to design development, test, staging and production environments that are reliable with high availability

•       Must be ServiceNow Certified Systems Administrator

•       Should possess knowledge in Agile/Scrum methodology

•       Basic knowledge with ITIL/industry standards

•       Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC)

•       Behavioral competency

•       Effective communication skills with both non-technical and technical audiences (verbal and written)

•       Excellent Interpersonal skills to work with the project team members collaboratevily

•       Participate and provide feedback during planning meetings (i.e., pre-iteration, and retrospectives)

Roles & Responsibilities

1. Including experience with the Service Catalog module and creating custom applications.

2. Experience creating request forms, developing integration with external systems, implementing security (including Access Control Lists), and enhancing the user interface to provide a custom look and feel.

3. Ability to implement moderate to complex custom widgets and backend scripting.

4. Strong knowledge of ServiceNow platform architecture, modules, and functionalities.

5. Hands-on experience in configuring Business Rules, Client Scripts, UI Policies, UI Scripts, UI Actions, UI ages, Script Includes, Access Control Lists, complex workflows and solution migration to higher environment.

6. Experience in developing ServiceNow integrations using APIs, web services, and data imports/exports.

7. Experience in Workflows, SLAs, Import Sets and Update Sets.

8. Experience in creation of Record Producers and Catalogue Items using Variables, Variable Sets.

9. Working knowledge to schedule jobs, events, and triggers to manage business needs.

10. Experience in creating transform maps and Import sets for uploading the bulk data through sheets.

11. Solid understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) and IT Operations Management (ITOM) processes.

12. Must have experience in Service Now Custom Development.

13. Sound knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals – data structures, algorithms, operating system concepts 14. Excellent analytical skills, methodical problem-solving skills and troubleshooting skills.

15. Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills and technologies as needed.

16. Ability to meet objectives, goals, and deadlines with minimal supervision.
