What are some typical challenges faced in a Hybrid Logistics role, and how is support provided to overcome them?

Professionals in Hybrid Logistics often navigate challenges such as coordinating between multiple supply chain channels—like in-person distribution and e-commerce fulfilment—and adapting rapidly to shifting demand or disruptions. These challenges are managed through cross-department collaboration, regular training, and access to advanced logistics technology that streamlines real-time decision making. Teams are usually structured to foster open communication and agile problem-solving, ensuring issues are addressed promptly. Employers often provide ongoing professional development and mentorship to help employees stay current and succeed in this complex environment.

Can I work in logistics remotely?

Hybrid logistics roles often involve a combination of remote and on-site work, depending on the company's operations and the specific responsibilities. Tasks such as planning, coordination, and administrative duties can typically be performed remotely, while physical tasks like warehouse management require on-site presence. Flexibility varies by employer and role requirements.

Will SCM be replaced by AI?

Supply Chain Management (SCM) roles, including those in hybrid logistics, are increasingly incorporating AI to improve efficiency, forecasting, and decision-making. However, AI is expected to augment rather than fully replace SCM professionals, who will continue to handle strategic planning, relationship management, and oversight. Skills in data analysis, technology tools, and process optimization remain essential for these roles.
