Job description

Major Food Distributor located in Hunts Point Cooperative Market in the Bronx is looking for a Full-Time Delivery Associate (Commercial Driver). As a Delivery Associate you will be our company ambassadors. Delivery Associates delivers our quality product to our customers.         

  • Deliver product based on routed stops
  • Unload product from truck at stops
  • Count product to ensure accurate delivery
  • Assist customers with questions, concerns, or inquiries
  • Follow all traffic and safety laws
  • Conduct a Pre-Trip and Post-Trip Inspection on vehicles daily
  • Maintain Driver’s electronic log
  • Use our technologically advanced Proof-of-Delivery system to provide excellent and positive customer service

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) Diploma
  • Must have a valid Commercial Driver’s License, Class A or B
  • Must provide a clean driving record, no DUI’s within the past 10 years
  • Must have a current Medical Examiner’s Certificate
  • Must be able to lift 60-100 pounds
  • Must be able to read and write in English
  • Must be willing to work 3:00AM or 5:00AM start times
  • Must have at least two years of CDL experience

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bilingual (fluent in English & Spanish) a plus
