Job description

The Human Systems Engineering team is seeking a dynamic Human Machine Interaction Engineer to support Lockheed Martin Skunkworks efforts with the design and development of the Multi-Domain Control Station (MDCX) - Mission Management Software.
The candidate will design, develop and integrate operator interfaces with system architectures, including complex systems and system design activities.
Specific activities may include the following:
-Develops systems and system element architecture, design, and software interface definitions.
-Assists with the development and communication of the system architecture requirements for operator interfaces. --Integrates operator interfaces with Universal Command and Control Interface (UCI) message sets and architectures.
-Presents HMI design concepts (in the form of figures, drawings, or simulations) to the customer for evaluation. --Conveys customer intent and operational impact to system architects and designers to inform system level design.
-Collaborates with software developers, the customer, and program management to design human-machine interfaces, obtain design decisions, and reconcile customer intent against feasibility, cost, and complexity of various design modifications.
-Ensures conversion of operational mission requirements into total systems solutions that account for design and technology maturity constraints of the system.
-Promotes consistent user interface and ensures alignment with customer intent.
-Provides operational subject matter expertise to support technical baseline management, technical reviews, system demonstrations, and Human Systems Integration.
-Documents software design descriptions, drafts user manuals and reviews them for accuracy, and develops and briefs operator academics on controls and HMI designs. ----Maintains knowledge of current and developing HMI-related technologies and designs.
-Develops models and architectural guidelines for current and future system development.
-Works to integrate operator interfaces with Open Mission Systems.
A secret clearance is required, with ability to obtain Top Secret & special access clearances.
Domestic travel up to 25 percent.
