Job description

The Human Resources Supervisor will serve as the onsite HR leader for AMETEK employees at the Universal Analyzers facility in Carson City, NV, with additional HR responsibilities supporting employees within the Midwest & Western Region. This role partners closely with Business Unit and Divisional HR teams to drive HR strategy, ensure compliance, and deliver bestinclass HR practices. This position also plays a critical role in attracting, retaining, and engaging top talent while supporting the business through effective and scalable people solutions. 

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the onsite Human Resources Supervisor for the Universal Analyzers facility in Carson City, NV with responsibility for daytoday HR operations and employee relations at the site. Provide regional/divisional HR support to additional assigned locations.
  • Partner closely with Business Unit and HR leadership to execute HR strategy, ensure compliance, and drive consistent HR practices across the region.
  • Operate with a strategic HR mindset while maintaining a strong, handson generalist approach to daily HR execution.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to site and functional leaders, providing coaching and guidance on talent management, performance, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure consistent, fair, and compliant treatment of employees in alignment with company policies and employment laws.
  • Lead and support workplace investigations and recommend appropriate corrective or disciplinary actions when necessary.
  • Oversee talent acquisition activities for the site, partnering with divisional recruiting resources for specialized or hardtofill roles.
  • Strategically leverage AI and datadriven tools to improve HR processes such as workforce planning, talent insights, compliance tracking, and operational efficiency, in alignment with AMETEK policies and governance.
  • Partner with EHS and site leadership to support safety initiatives, compliance training, and a strong safety culture.
  • Manage and support performance management processes, including goal setting, review cycles, and performance documentation.
  • Participate in annual talent reviews and compensation processes, including workforce planning, talent discussions, and pay audits in partnership with HR leadership.
  • Design, implement, and support leadership development and employee development initiatives aligned with business needs.
  • Support HR operational activities, including onboarding, benefits consultation, HR system transactions, payroll data changes, record maintenance, and compliance tracking (e.g., training).
  • Foster employee engagement through onboarding experiences, employee events, and communitybased initiatives.

Required Experience & Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Business Administration or other related discipline
  • 3-5 years of HR Generalist experience
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills and the ability to coach others to understand and improve their emotional intelligence
  • Must have the ability to liaison with, and influence managers and leaders throughout AMETEK
  • Ability to manage an HR function in a global environment
  • Ability to implement strategic programs to advance business objectives
  • Must be a self-starter with a bias for action
  • Must be willing to travel domestically up to 10% on an annual basis 
  • Experience with Human Resources tools such as SuccessFactors, ADP Report processing, and LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs. The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
