We are currently seeking an experienced, upbeat, and people-centered Human Resources Manager who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment and enjoys being the bridge between leadership and staff.


Position Overview

The Human Resources Manager will serve as the primary HR leader for the campus and will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including:

  • Full-cycle HR operations in a skilled nursing environment

  • Payroll processing and timekeeping oversight

  • Employee relations and conflict resolution

  • Union relations and contract administration

  • Recruitment support and onboarding coordination

  • Compliance with state/federal labor laws and healthcare regulations

  • Coaching leaders on employee engagement and retention strategies

This is a highly visible, in person role that requires someone who is both detail-oriented and people-focused.


What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone who is:

  • Experienced in Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care HR (minimum 2 years required)

  • Confident handling union environments and employee relations matters

  • Comfortable managing payroll and HR systems

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage daily HR operations across all levels of care (SNF, AL, IL)

  • Process and oversee payroll accuracy and reporting

  • Lead employee relations investigations and resolutions

  • Partner with leadership on staffing, retention, and engagement strategies

  • Support union contract interpretation and grievance processes

  • Ensure compliance with employment laws, policies, and facility standards

  • Maintain HR records, reporting, and audit readiness

  • Foster a positive, supportive workplace culture

    Qualifications
    • Minimum 2 years HR experience in Skilled Nursing / Long-Term Care required

    • Experience with payroll systems and HRIS platforms

    • Prior experience in a unionized environment strongly preferred

    • Strong knowledge of HR best practices

    • High emotional intelligence and professionalism under pressure

    • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced healthcare setting
