HR Operations Specialist
Are you an organized and detail-oriented Human Resources professional who enjoys supporting employees and keeping HR processes running smoothly? Do you have experience with payroll, benefits administration, HR systems, employee records, or other HR operations? Are you someone who takes pride in accuracy, confidentiality, and providing excellent service to employees? If so, you might be a great fit for this HR Operations Specialist position.
Little League International in South Williamsport, PA is looking to hire a full-time HR Operations Specialist to join our Human Resources team. Individuals who would like to work for an established nonprofit organization that plays a positive role in the lives of millions of youths around the world and who enjoy supporting employees, maintaining accurate HR information, and improving HR processes are encouraged to apply.
This full-time, non-exempt position has a 35-hour work week, with core hours of Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Occasional evening or weekend work may be required during certain times of the year.
This position earns a competitive salary commensurate with skills and experience. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF AN HR OPERATIONS SPECIALIST AT LITTLE LEAGUE INTERNATIONAL
As an HR Operations Specialist, you will play an important role in supporting the day-to-day administration and operations of the Human Resources department. You will help ensure employees and managers receive accurate, timely, and professional HR support throughout the employee lifecycle.
In this role, you will administer employee changes such as hires, transfers, promotions, compensation changes, leaves of absence, and separations while maintaining accurate employee records and personnel files. You will also prepare HR documentation, support employee inquiries, process HR system transactions, and assist with audits and recordkeeping requirements.
A key part of this position will be payroll and benefits administration. You will lead accurate and timely payroll processing, assist with payroll audits and reconciliations, support tax and year-end processes, and partner with Finance on payroll-related requirements. You will also administer employee benefit enrollments and changes, assist employees with benefit questions, support open enrollment, and help coordinate leave programs.
You will also work closely with our HR technology systems by maintaining employee information, conducting system audits, generating HR reports, troubleshooting system issues, and supporting technology upgrades and process improvements. Your attention to detail will help ensure our HR data remains accurate, confidential, and compliant.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR AN HR OPERATIONS SPECIALIST
  • Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 years of Human Resources, payroll, benefits, HR operations, or administrative experience.
  • Experience working with HRIS and/or payroll systems required.
  • Experience supporting benefits administration and HR compliance activities preferred.
  • Experience supporting onboarding, training administration, or employee records management preferred.
  • Working knowledge of HR practices, employment laws, payroll administration, and benefits administration.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and appropriately handle sensitive employee and organizational information.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and HR technology platforms.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with employees at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow through on responsibilities and deadlines.
