Job description

About PlayMetrics

PlayMetrics is a fast-growing B2B SaaS company revolutionizing the way youth sports organizations operate. Our industry-leading platform is trusted by thousands of clubs, leagues, and governing bodies to manage operations, communication, scheduling, and player development - all in one place. We're backed by private equity and run with the speed and ownership mindset of a startup: we move fast, build lean, and expect everyone to make a visible impact.

The Role

We are hiring a Marketing Operations Manager who will ensure all inbound and outbound demand is accurately captured, qualified, and converted into pipeline through well-designed processes, consistent execution, and actionable analytics.

You will take full ownership of our marketing technology stack and the operational infrastructure of our customer acquisition engine. You will serve as the primary HubSpot Administrator, going beyond basic configuration to own architecture, workflows, integrations, scoring models, nurture programs, and reporting. You will partner with Marketing, Sales, and BDR leadership to translate strategy into technical reality, ensuring our systems connect flawlessly, our data is audit-ready, and our top-of-funnel operations align perfectly with our growth targets.

What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities)

1. Own the Marketing Tech Stack & HubSpot Architecture

  • Total Stack Ownership: Take full ownership of our marketing technology stack: CRM (HubSpot), marketing automation, ad platforms, product analytics, attribution, experimentation, and everything in between.
  • Strategic Roadmap: Set and maintain the tech stack roadmap. Decide what to add, consolidate, or retire, ensuring every tool earns its place and delivers ROI.
  • Advanced HubSpot Administration: Serve as the primary HubSpot admin, including evaluating and deploying emerging AI and agent capabilities within the platform.
  • Clay Implementation: Utilize working knowledge and direct implementation of Clay or similar tools to enrich data, orchestrate workflows, and power highly targeted outbound prospecting.

2. Data Governance, Segmentation & Best Practices

  • Set the Standard: Establish how the stack should be governed-owning data hygiene, role-based permissions, naming conventions, and integration patterns. Make sure the rest of the team follows it. You are the internal authority on how systems connect and where data should live.
  • Database & Lifecycle Engine: Enrich and maintain the HubSpot contact database. Drive data quality and build the complex segmentation that the growth marketing team activates.
  • Single Source of Truth: Guarantee that marketing and sales agree on the data, the definitions, and the single source of truth across the organization.

3. Funnel Mechanics, Lead Scoring & Sales Handoff

  • Lead Scoring & Routing: Partner with Marketing leadership to build, test, and routinely update lead scoring models that combine behavioral intent with demographic data to prioritize outreach.
  • MQL & SQL Frameworks: Own the MQL and SQL definitions. Map and improve the operational journey that transitions a qualified prospect to Sales, ensuring a frictionless handoff to Account Executives.
  • Audit-Ready Pipeline: Ensure that marketing-sourced pipeline is captured, tracked, and reported with absolute confidence and audit-ready definitions.
  • SLA & Territory Management: Build automated distribution logic in HubSpot for inbound leads and target account lists, maintaining rules (like account caps) to prevent hoarding and support broad market coverage.

4. End-to-End Campaign Operations

  • Campaign Operations: Own the operational backbone of every campaign, from setup through QA, launch, and post-launch reporting. Be the go-to technical partner for the campaigns team, translating what they want to launch into system configurations, automations, and integrations that actually work.
  • Operational Playbooks: Build and document operational playbooks to standardize execution and significantly reduce campaign launch times.

What Success Looks Like

Within your first year, you will know you are successful when:

  • The Full Funnel is Visible: The entire funnel, from anonymous visitor to closed-won customer, is instrumented and highly visible in shared dashboards.
  • Lead Scoring Works: Your lead scoring models drive a measurable, proven lift in downstream conversion rates.
  • Speed to Market: Campaign launch times drop drastically as a result of your refined operational playbooks and technical partnership.
  • Total Alignment: Marketing and Sales operate harmoniously with zero friction over data, definitions, or attribution.
  • Pipeline Trust: Marketing-sourced pipeline is accurate, trusted by the C-suite, and totally audit-ready.

What You'll Need (Qualifications)

  • HubSpot Administration (Required): 5+ years of Marketing/Revenue Operations experience with 3+ years of direct, hands-on experience as a primary HubSpot Administrator. You know how to push the platform to its limits.
  • Tech Stack Mastery: Proven experience managing a modern tech stack (HubSpot, Clay, product analytics, attribution software, and ad platforms).
  • Campaign & Lifecycle Ops: Deep experience translating campaign ideas into flawless technical execution, combined with a strong understanding of data segmentation for lifecycle marketing.
  • Process & Governance Authority: Demonstrated ability to establish best practices, design data flows, enforce naming conventions, and hold cross-functional teams accountable to system governance.
  • Analytical Capability: High data literacy with the ability to build advanced analytics dashboards, review complex datasets, and analyze funnel metrics to eliminate conversion bottlenecks.

Logistics

  • Location: Morrisville, NC. Hybrid schedule, in office Mondays and Thursdays.
  • Work Authorization: Must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship.  We cannot consider candidates who require sponsorship for a work-authorized visa.

What PlayMetrics Provides

  • Competitive Compensation: Salary commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive Benefits: 100% company-paid medical, dental, and vision plans for you and your dependents, 401(k) with employer match, and company-paid disability and life insurance.
  • Paid Time Off
  • Work Environment: A collaborative, casual, and energetic office at our Morrisville headquarters.
