Hotel Indigo Williamsburg Brooklyn is a vibrant, design-forward boutique hotel that reflects the spirit of the Williamsburg neighborhood. Managed by StepStone Hospitality, we are committed to delivering exceptional guest experiences while cultivating a people-first workplace culture.


The People & Culture Manager will lead all Human Resources functions for the property, serving as a strategic partner to leadership and a champion for employee engagement. This role will utilize Paylocity to manage HR operations including payroll, onboarding, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment, onboarding, and retention initiatives
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations and performance management
  • Administer payroll, benefits, and HRIS through Paylocity
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, New York State, and local labor laws
  • Drive employee engagement, culture-building, and recognition programs
  • Maintain accurate HR records and reporting
  • Partner with StepStone Hospitality leadership on workforce planning
  • Support training, development, and succession planning efforts
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred
  • 3–5+ years of HR experience, ideally within hospitality or lifestyle brands
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems (Paylocity preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with discretion
