Addison Group is partnering with our client, a rapidly expanding organization in the San Jose area, to hire a Temporary HR Assistant. This is a fully onsite opportunity supporting a growing HR team during a period of organizational growth and system integration. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, thrives in a structured, fast-paced environment, and can quickly contribute with minimal training.

Job Description:

Our client is seeking an HR Assistant to provide hands-on support with payroll administration, contract auditing, and HR data management. This position will primarily focus on reviewing client contracts for accuracy and processing manual payroll while ensuring all information is entered correctly. Accuracy and attention to detail are critical, as payroll is a highly sensitive function.

This is a full-time, temporary, onsite position with the potential to extend beyond the initial assignment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process manual payroll accurately and ensure all payroll information is entered correctly.
  • Audit client contracts by comparing billing rates against workforce management records.
  • Review payroll reports and identify discrepancies before processing.
  • Enter and maintain payroll and employee data with a high level of accuracy.
  • Research inconsistencies and collaborate with Operations to resolve issues.
  • Prepare payroll reports and maintain supporting documentation.
  • Assist with HR initiatives related to system implementations and organizational growth.
  • Handle confidential payroll and employee information with discretion.
  • Complete recurring administrative tasks while meeting deadlines.
  • Work independently, manage priorities, and communicate questions or concerns proactively.

Qualifications:

  • Previous payroll processing experience, manual payroll preferred.
  • Hands-on experience using Paylocity.
  • Strong data entry and administrative skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Experience auditing reports or reviewing data for discrepancies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
