Are you a married Christian couple who would love to serve in ministry together?

If yes, we have an exceptional opportunity for you to join our Black Mountain Home team as a Houseparent Couple. In this role, you'll nurture, guide, and encourage children living in one of our campus's six cottages.

House Parents are on shift 15 days, then off 13 days. Their primary responsibility is caring for the children in their cottage, assisting them with daily routines, offering emotional support, and creating a home environment that encourages growth and learning. We provide vehicles, food budgets, spending allowances, and more.

We believe in the power of community and provide training and support to ensure your success. This includes an education coordinator who works with the school system and a team of tutors, a comprehensive recreation program for physical and social development, vehicles for transportation, and dedicated social workers and team leaders.

Ideal candidates will be deeply committed to ministry and looking to cultivate a home filled with love, faith, and learning. This role not only allows you to serve children in need, but also provides an opportunity to grow spiritually as a couple. It's a chance to live your faith daily, teaching children about love and compassion, while fostering resilience and hope.

Requirements Include:

  1. A strong and active Christian faith
  2. Ability to work a one-week-on/one-week-off schedule (you must provide housing during the off week)
  3. Experience in caregiving, youth ministry, or similar role preferred
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  5. Heart for serving children
  6. Valid Driverโ€™s License
  7. Ability to pass a background check
