ABOUT CLATSOP COUNTY
Today Clatsop County is one of nine Home Rule counties in Oregon. Five non-partisan elected Commissioners set policy and appoint a full-time County Manager, who is responsible for daily operations. County services are provided through seven divisions: County Administration (County Manager), Assessment and Taxation, Budget and Finance, County Clerk, Juvenile, Public Health, Public Works, and the District Attorney, and Sheriff's Offices. The county also administers a road district, a rural law enforcement district, and a local sewer district. The Facilities Department reports to the county administration division.
the position
The purpose of this position is to perform surveying and fieldwork in support of the County Surveyors Office duties and Public Land Survey Corner restorations.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Land Surveying or Civil Engineering. And,
  • Three (3) years' work experience in the field of engineering and/or surveying. Or,
  • Any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities may be acceptable.
  • Must possess and maintain driving privileges in the state of Oregon.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Current LSI registration.
  • Experience restoring Public Land Survey Corners.
  • Experience in forestry related field.
  • Experience with Auto CAD and 3-D software.
  • Experience in land survey fieldwork.
