Job description

Field Interviewer

On behalf of our client, Noor Staffing Group is currently seeking part-time Field Interviewers to support the SECHURA2 Study in Indiana. As a Field Interviewer, you will help collect data from fellow Hoosiers ages 55+ identifying associations between social networks, community, and cognitive function across rural and urban areas. We are seeking Field Staff in the following Indiana counties:

  • Allen/Whitley

This is a temporary assignment that will start with paid in-person training on September 22, 2025 and continue for 3 to 6 months depending on available work (September 2025 – March 2026). Hours are estimated at between 24-32 hours per week with opportunities to work up to 40 hours per week.

Position is hourly with a pay range of $19-$21 per hour.

As Field Interviewer, you will:

  • Drive to selected households throughout the selected counties in Indiana to conduct a 60-minute survey and cognitive assessments in the home
  • Recruit and schedule participants on the phone and/or in-person and obtain informed consent from the respondent based on study protocol
  • Administer a survey with the household member using a tablet computer
  • Distribute monetary incentives
  • Transmit data to Indiana University using an Internet connection
  • Follow strict rules regarding operating protocols and participant confidentiality
  • Work with other research team members, communicating with and reporting to our central offices in Bloomington
  • Attend weekly meeting with field supervisor by phone

Field Interviewer Qualifications:

  • Must reside in Indiana or within 25 miles of selected counties for this study
  • Responsible and accountable adults, age 21 and older
  • Strong computer skills and experience using a tablet computer
  • Experience using a smartphone and downloading apps
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Comfortable making unannounced visits to homes asking individuals to participate in this research study and asking sensitive questions
  • Valid driver’s license, proof of insurance, and dependable personal automobile for local travel
  • Able to pass mandatory background check and drug screening
  • Prior experience working with the public or interviewing preferred
  • Must give consent to a background and motor vehicle record check
  • Must have an acceptable driving record

Hours and Training

  • Attend paid in-person training at Indiana University in Bloomington IN (accommodation and travel reimbursement included)
  • Flexible schedule (day, evening, weekend hours all required)
  • 3-4 day paid-training and then required 24-32 hours per week thereafter (minimum 24 hours up to 40 hours if work is available)
