Hot Wire Operator

Location: Statesville, NC

Reports to: Production Supervisor

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Shift: 2nd Shift-ย  ย 
Monday - Thursday 4pm-2am

Purpose

The Hotwire Operator position maintains all operation of the Hotwireย Machine, cutting block foam. This process and quality check is a very critical role for the Lamination Department and overall company operations.

Responsibilities

  • Operating machinery and producing quality material while maintaining maximum productivity and efficiency of the production process.
  • The operator is responsible for;
    • Working well with other co-workers in a team environment
    • The ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
  • Provides for and maintains a safe work environment with proper training and communications.
  • Demonstrates 3A's core values through; integrity, accountability, value creation, customer focus, team player, continuous improvement, humility and respect, and drive.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous manufacturing, knowledge of mechanical equipment, math skills and computer experience a plus.
  • Use of machine tools and equipment such as;ย  hand tools and forklift.
  • Physical demands include; standing, constantly moving, reaching and lifting ten hours.ย 
  • Must be able to lift fifty pounds.
  • Wear company provided PPE; High visibility clothing, steel-toed safety shoes, eye protection.
  • Attention to detail, self-motivated, flexible and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.
