Job description

The Company:
Marigold is a fast-growing marketing technology company helping growing businesses build stronger customer relationships through its three core platforms: Emma, Campaign Monitor, and Vuture. We deliver powerful tools for email, SMS, and marketing automation that elevate engagement and drive real results. Marigold is headquartered in Nashville, Tennessee with offices in Sydney and London.
The Role:
We're seeking an experienced and highly accountable Product Manager to join our fully remote U.S.-based product team, focused on Emma. Emma is a distributed marketing platform that helps organizations with multiple locations, brands, or business units create consistent, high-performing email campaigns. In this hands-on role, you'll independently own product initiatives from discovery through launch and iteration, working directly with customers and partnering closely with engineering and cross-functional teams to bring valuable capabilities to market.
What You'll Do:
  • Lead product discovery by engaging customers and internal stakeholders, conducting interviews and user testing, and combining qualitative insights, market research, competitive analysis, product analytics, and experimentation to identify high-impact opportunities.
  • Own assigned initiatives within the Emma roadmap from discovery through post-launch iteration, maintaining the backlog and recommending priorities based on customer value, business impact, product strategy, feasibility, and available evidence.
  • Translate opportunities into clear problem statements, requirements, user flows, acceptance criteria, and measurable success outcomes; break complex work into appropriately scoped releases that balance speed, quality, feasibility, and customer value.
  • Partner closely with engineering throughout planning and delivery to resolve ambiguity, make scope decisions, monitor progress, surface risks, coordinate testing, and ensure release readiness.
  • Lead the product work required to bring capabilities to market, partnering with product marketing, sales, customer success, and support on positioning, launch plans, demonstrations, enablement, and adoption strategies.
  • Measure product performance after launch using analytics, customer feedback, experimentation, and business outcomes; prioritize improvements and issues, communicate decisions and results clearly, and use AI tools thoughtfully to accelerate research, analysis, documentation, and execution.

About You:
You're a thoughtful, hands-on product manager who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, balancing customer, business, and technical considerations, and moving work forward without requiring detailed direction at every step. You build strong relationships, communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical audiences, and bring sound judgment, curiosity, and accountability to your work.
Ideal Qualifications:
  • Approximately 3-5 years of experience managing software products, preferably within a B2B SaaS environment.
  • Demonstrated experience owning product initiatives from customer discovery and requirements through development, launch, and post-launch evaluation.
  • Experience conducting customer interviews, user research, or usability testing and translating findings into informed product decisions.
  • Strong product execution skills, including writing clear requirements, managing a backlog, defining acceptance criteria, making scope decisions, and working directly with engineering teams.
  • An analytical mindset and technical fluency, with experience using product analytics, customer behavior data, experimentation, and performance metrics and the ability to understand integrations, APIs, platform architecture, and data flows at a high level.
  • Proven ability to work autonomously and cross-functionally in a distributed environment, communicate clearly with technical and nontechnical audiences, and use modern AI tools responsibly to improve product management workflows.

Nice to Have:
  • Experience with email marketing, marketing automation, martech, or distributed marketing platforms.
  • Familiarity with integrations and the needs of organizations with multiple brands, business units, locations, or account hierarchies.
  • Proficiency with product analytics platforms such as Amplitude, Appcues, or similar tools, or experience contributing to AI-powered product capabilities.

Location Eligibility
This position is eligible for hire in the following U.S. states: Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
Compensation & Benefits
Compensation:
The base salary range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000 annually.
The compensation range represents the pay the Company reasonably expects to offer for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, internal equity, geographic location, and applicable law.
Benefits:
  • Competitive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision insurance; life, accident, and disability insurance; supplemental health benefits; FSA; EAP; and pet insurance.
  • Generous time off, which we call Open Time Away, as well as paid holidays and a birthday benefit day off.
  • Paid volunteer time.
  • 401(k) plan with a company match on your contributions.
  • A supportive, flexible remote work environment.
  • Support for life events, including paid parental leave.
