The Hospitalist Coordinator is responsible for managing in patient flow and provider inpatient assignments. The Coordinator is responsible for monitoring and supporting the coding and billing process for the hospitalist as well as managing compliance and timely completion. The Coordinator assists in shift transitioning as well as a hub for hospitalist communication.


Education and Work Experience

  1. High School Diploma or Equivalent or relevant experience required for all new hires effective April 2014.
  2. Knowledge of medical terminology, typing skills, calculator and/or ten-key adding machine.
  3. Word processing, spreadsheet experience required.
  4. Experience in healthcare preferred, preferably in an acute care setting.
  5. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $23.00 to $26.22. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
