Job description

Job Title: Product Quality EngineerJob Description

Partner with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure the quality of advanced aerospace structures, including composites and metallics. Manage drawing reviews, process validations, and quality requirements from New Product Introduction to rate production. Champion Root Cause & Corrective Action and Material Review Board processes to eliminate production anomalies.

Responsibilities
  • Establish inspection and acceptance standards for incoming parts and materials in collaboration with the supply chain.
  • Develop key quality metrics and optimize the Quality Management System.
  • Work hands-on with engineering to resolve ambiguities and stabilize the manufacturing process.
  • Own quality planning and drive early-stage engineering of products from prototype to high-rate manufacturing.
Essential Skills
  • Quality engineering and assurance.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • Experience in aerospace engineering, manufacturing, or quality.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical manufacturing, CAD systems (NX, SolidWorks, or CATIA), and data analysis/metrics.
  • Experience with composite/metallic airframe defects and AS9100/ISO 9001 standards.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, PPAP, GD&T.
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES).
  • Strong project ownership and a collaborative, cross-functional approach.
  • Eligibility to obtain a U.S. Secret security clearance.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Morrisville, NC.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
