We are looking for someone to work Monday through Friday 7am to 330pm with expectation to work shifts on rotating weekends and be rotation for on call duty.

Job Summary and Qualifications

As a Hospital Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for performing preventive maintenance routines on scheduled basis in accordance with written procedures and master work schedule. You will have an impact on the improvement of human life by putting your skills and experience to work at our hospital.

What you will do in this role:

  • You will perform corrective and preventive maintenance of all equipment assigned to Plant Operations and Maintenance.
  • You will maintain preventive maintenance work order records on individual equipment that reflect labor, material cost and materials required.
  • You will perform mechanical repair, replacement, modification, and installation on motors, bearings, seals, shafts, gears, housings, dampers, switches and controls.
  • You will maintain water heaters, boilers and associated equipment, plumbing lines, drains, vacuum switches, water closets, commodes, clippers and garbage disposal.
  • You must maintain a safe work environment and comply with OSHA regulations in the use of tools, test equipment and electricity.
  • You will replace lights, ballasts, fixtures, photocells, belts, filters and reset time clocks as needed.
  • You will patch sheet rock as needed.
  • You will use your technical experience and skills in troubleshooting control circuits, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, and plumbing.
  • You will read controls schematics, manuals, etc.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Two years of experience in the maintenance field required
  • 10 years of skilled experience as a Maintenance Mechanic to include electrical, air conditioning, and plumbing training, in a hospital, hotel, or manufacturing plan preferred.
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid South Carolina Driver License with clean driving record required
  • Maintenance experience in a hospital environment preferred
