  • Clinical Role:
    • Accepting Full-time (80 hours per pay period) and part-time (60 hours per pay period) providers
    • Day Shift 10-40
    • Ability to work weekends occasionally
    • The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner is a licensed independent practitioner who is manages cardiology patients under the direction of the Cardiovascular Service Director
    • Exercises good judgment, demonstrates effective critical thinking skills
    • Flexible, able to prioritize and address multiple responsibilities concurrently
    • Works effectively under stress and frequently changing job requirements/situations
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills
    • Maintains confidentiality, thinks and acts independently with minimal supervision
    • Maintains regular, consistent and punctual attendance at the assigned job location
    • Interpersonal skills necessary to work productively with patient, families, other healthcare staff, and other departments
    • Basic computer skills
    • Personal responsibility for ongoing educational growth, and collaborating with others to provide solutions for continued patient quality
    • Able to stand, walk, bend, squat, reach, and stretch frequently
    • Possess physical agility and adequate reaction time to respond quickly and appropriately to unexpected patient care needs
    • Needs adequate hearing and visual acuity, including adequate color vision
    • Requires fine motor skills, adequate eye-hand coordination, and ability to grasp and handle objects
    • Able to use proper body mechanics to assist patients in ambulating, transferring in and out of bed, chair or wheelchair
    • Must use standard precautions due to threat of exposure to blood and bodily fluids
    • Needs ability to communicate effectively through reading, writing, and speaking in person or on telephone
    • May be required to lift up to 75 pounds
    • May require periodic use of personal computer
    • Minimum 1+ year of work experience as a Cardiology Nurse Practitioner is required
