Scope of the Role

As a Part-Time Neuro Writer, you ensure neuropsychological documentation is clear, complete, and clinically usableโ€”supporting accurate reporting and efficient downstream review. You will assemble and edit social histories from referrals, questionnaires, and interview notes; validate supporting records; coordinate weekly document intake and tracker readiness; and verify testing dates and billing alignment across tracking systems, researching and flagging discrepancies for correction. You will also contribute to data integrity through routine audits and provide backup support to the Neuropsychological Evaluation Report Administrator as needed.
Required qualifications/skills:
- High school diploma required; degree preferred
- Experience in behavioral health or clinical documentation preferred
- Strong writing/editing skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Organized, able to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Commitment to HIPAA compliance and confidentiality

How Your Day Flows

Your Mondayโ€“Friday rhythm is structured and predictable, with work-from-home flexibility. You begin by checking the tracker and confirming what arrived from the prior week, then downloading and organizing the current set so nothing is missed. Midday is spent building polished narratives from multiple sources, pausing to cross-check dates, measures, and questionnaire completion against the systems of record. As questions surface, you send concise notes to clinical, administrative, or billing partners and log status updates so the team can move reports forward. You wrap up by reconciling any open items, preparing materials for the next handoff, and stepping in on overflow tasks to keep feedback and reporting timelines on track.
