Summary:
The Demand Planning Analyst is responsible for developing accurate demand forecasts that drive production, inventory, and procurement decisions. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret historical data, market trends, and customer signals to support operational efficiency and service level goals.
Responsibilities:
  • The Demand Planning Analyst will analyze historical sales, market trends, and customer forecasts to create accurate demand projections.
  • Maintain and update forecasting models using statistical techniques and ERP/APS tools.
  • Monitor forecast accuracy and bias.
  • Identify root causes of variances and recommend corrective actions.
  • Prepare dashboards and reports for leadership, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • The Demand Planning Analyst will partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to align forecasts with business objectives.
  • Support monthly sales and operations planning meetings with data-driven insights.
  • Identify opportunities to improve forecasting accuracy and streamline processes.
  • The Demand Planning Analyst will support implementation of advanced planning tools and ERP enhancements.
  • Support and comply with all Suncast safety policies, quality standards, and housekeeping practices.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: 3+ years in forecasting or demand planning within a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of statistical forecasting methods and ERP/MRP systems.
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Advanced Excel and data analytics skills.
  • Experience with forecasting software (John Galt).
  • APICS CPIM or similar certification.
  • Experience with Lean or Six Sigma principles.

The Anticipated Pay Range for This Position: $85K-100K annually
