Our client is a high-performance quantitative investment firm building a world-class People function from the ground up. They are seeking a hands-on HR Generalist to join their New York team.
This is a foundational role with meaningful exposure across a wide range of HR disciplines. Reporting to the VP, Senior HR Generalist, you will support day-to-day HR operations and employee experience across assigned regions.
What You'll Do
People Partnership
- Serve as a frontline HR resource for US employees on policy questions and employee relations matters
- Partner with the VP, Senior HR Generalist on People Partner coverage and stakeholder communications
- Contribute to the design and administration of People programs
HR Operations
- Own core HR processes including onboarding, offboarding, role changes, and HRIS data integrity
- Build self-service resources such as wikis, FAQs, and templates
- Support visa, immigration, and global mobility processes
- Collaborate with Payroll & Benefits on employee questions and issue resolution
People Technology & Analytics
- Maintain accurate employee lifecycle data in HiBob
- Support headcount and People analytics reporting
- Act as first-line support for HRIS questions and system access
What We're Looking For
- 5-7+ years of HR experience in professional services, financial services, or a fast-paced corporate environment
- Generalist foundation across benefits, employee relations, HRIS, and performance management
- Experience with an HRIS platform such as HiBob or Workday
- Strong working knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong personal organization
- Comfort with ambiguity and a growth mindset
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent; PHR or SHRM-CP in progress is a plus
