Position Summary:
The Shop Helper will be responsible for ensuring parts are available, moving materials between workstations, and general assistance to welders. Must work independently and as a team as required to achieve production, quality, and quantity goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • At all times safety is a top priority while performing any part of your job.
  • Execute instructions given by department Supervisor and/or Lead.
  • Observes operation of machines to develop understanding.
  • Assist supervisor/lead by loading jobs to the specified location.
  • Establish a cordial and professional relationship with fellow employees.
  • Assist other employees with day-to-day tasks as needed.
  • Understand and follow the proper workflow of assigned jobs.
  • Transport completed work to the next department.
  • Obtain and maintain forklift certification.
  • Obtain and maintain overhead crane certification.
  • Complete monthly tool calibration as required.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Must be able to operate a forklift.
