Job description

Overview

We are seeking a Help Desk Support Specialist to provide account administration and end-user support for internal and external users. This role resolves access issues, manages user accounts, and assists with technology-related requests, prioritizing a positive user experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide first-level technical support for end users
  • Troubleshoot account access, authentication, and identity-related issues
  • Create, update, and maintain user accounts and permissions
  • Deploy, configure, and support desktop and laptop hardware
  • Respond to support requests and document resolutions
  • Collaborate with team members to resolve issues and improve service delivery
  • Assist with device inventory management and equipment distribution
  • Deliver professional customer service while supporting a diverse user base
Required Qualifications
  • At least 1 year of experience working with digital tools, systems, or technology platforms
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new technologies and processes
  • At least 6 months of customer service or client-facing experience, with success resolving issues and building positive relationships
  • At least 6 months of experience working in a collaborative team environment
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills
  • Reliable attendance and ability to manage workload effectively
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience providing IT support in a professional environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience with identity and access management processes
  • Experience working with web-based call center or ticketing systems
Work Environment
  • Candidates must currently reside in Wisconsin
  • Initial onsite training will be required in Madison, WI
  • Ongoing hybrid schedule with 1 - 2 days of onsite attendance per week in downtown Madison
