Job Summary:
Austin Capital Bank is looking for a Product Manager to own and drive product strategy across our growing portfolio of consumer fintech and Banking-as-a-Service products. This is a high-ownership, high-visibility role that sits at the center of everything ACB builds.
You will define product vision, prioritize roadmaps, write PRDs and user stories, lead cross-functional delivery teams, and own outcomes - not just output. You will be expected to move fast, leverage AI tools to accelerate research and decision-making, and bring a proactive point of view on where the product should go before anyone asks for it. This role requires equal parts strategic rigor and hands-on execution: one day you're writing acceptance criteria, the next you're presenting a roadmap to the team.
Requirements:
  • Own end-to-end product lifecycle for one or more ACB fintech products - from discovery and roadmap prioritization through delivery, launch, and post-launch performance tracking.
  • Define and articulate product vision and strategy grounded in market research, competitive analysis, customer needs, and regulatory constraints.
  • Write high-quality PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria that give engineering and QA a clear, unambiguous target to build and test against.
  • Lead KYC/KYB digital onboarding workflows and design product experiences that balance compliance requirements with customer conversion and usability.
  • Develop financial models, pricing structures, and revenue analyses to inform product prioritization and business case development.
  • Use data to drive decisions - pull and interpret behavioral analytics from platforms like Heap and Contentsquare, write SQL queries when needed, and design A/B experiments to validate hypotheses before committing resources.
  • Leverage AI tools proactively to accelerate competitive research, PRD drafting, user research synthesis, and experiment design - and bring new methods to the team without being asked.
  • Coordinate with engineering, QA, UX, operations, compliance, and marketing to drive delivery and manage releases with rigor and accountability.
  • Monitor product KPIs, adoption, engagement, fraud indicators, and operational health post-launch; identify issues and iterate quickly.
  • Represent the product to internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulators - with the confidence to defend a position and the humility to update it when the data says otherwise.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Strategy & Roadmap Ownership
  • Define and maintain product roadmaps aligned to ACB's strategic objectives, regulatory requirements, and market opportunity.
  • Prioritize ruthlessly across a large backlog - balancing customer value, compliance obligations, technical debt, and revenue impact.
  • Conduct competitive and regulatory landscape analysis to ensure ACB products stay ahead of the market and inside the lines simultaneously.

2. Data-Driven Experimentation & AI-Augmented PM
  • Design and interpret A/B and multivariate experiments across onboarding, engagement, and payment flows; iterate rapidly based on results.
  • Pull and analyze product data using SQL and behavioral analytics tools (Heap, Contentsquare, Snowflake) to form and test hypotheses independently.
  • Use AI tools to compress research cycles, synthesize user feedback, draft product specs faster, and model experiment outcomes - and proactively introduce new AI methods that improve team velocity.

3. Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management
  • Lead agile delivery teams - sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release coordination with engineering, QA, UX, and operations.
  • Train internal support and operations teams on new features before launch; maintain product documentation, and integration guides in Confluence.
  • Escalate and resolve product issues proactively - from fraud flags and service outages to customer support triage - before they become systemic.

4. New Product Development
  • Contribute to pre-development product definition for new products, including competitive landscape analysis, target customer segmentation, advance mechanics, pricing, and eligibility rules.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with risk, legal, compliance, and engineering on vendor evaluation, and go-to-market sequencing.

Qualifications:
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Finance, Economics, or a related field. MBA or equivalent graduate degree is a plus.
  • Formal training or certification in product management, agile delivery, or data analytics is a differentiator.

Experience
  • 2-5 years of experience in Product Management, with experience in fintech, consumer lending, digital banking, or a similarly regulated technology environment.
  • OR - if you're a current undergraduate, master students, or early career professionals, and are a yet-to-be discovered rockstar with high proven potential (posers will be filtered out quickly) - tell us about your superpowers.
  • Demonstrated track record of owning and shipping consumer-facing digital products end-to-end, from discovery through post-launch iteration.
  • Experience writing and managing detailed PRDs, user stories, and acceptance criteria in a fast-moving agile environment.
  • Experience working with compliance, legal, and risk teams to navigate banking regulations as product constraints - not blockers.
  • Experience with BaaS, payment rails, accounting, or core banking platforms is a strong plus.
  • Experience with KYC/KYB digital onboarding and identity verification workflows (Jumio, CLEAR, Sentilink, Experian, or equivalent) is a differentiator.

Skills
  • Strong SQL skills - you can pull your own data, build your own queries, and not wait for an analyst to tell you what's happening in your product.
  • Proficiency with behavioral analytics platforms (Heap, Contentsquare, Amplitude, or equivalent) and A/B testing frameworks.
  • Comfort with AI-powered PM tools and a clear bias toward using them - for research, spec writing, competitive analysis, and experiment design.
  • Expert ability to write clear, concise product requirements that engineering and QA can execute without repeated clarification rounds.
  • Demonstrated ability to build financial models, unit economics analyses, and revenue projections in support of product prioritization.
  • Strong working knowledge of payment rails: ACH, RTP, wire, card push (Visa Direct / Mastercard Send), and settlement mechanics.
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and agile delivery tooling - you know how to run a clean sprint and keep a project on track.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills - able to write a crisp executive summary, run a tight product review, and hold your own in a regulatory conversation.
  • You'll be building products for: Consumers rebuilding their financial lives. Families protecting their children's identities. Savers protecting their life savings from fraud. And fintech partners who need a bank that can actually move fast.
