Job Summary

Position title: Healthcare Data Analyst

Job summary: Essen Health Care is seeking a junior-level Analyst with a solid foundation in data to support the Operations Manager within the Cardio Vascular Division. This on-site role is well-suited for a candidate in the early stages of their career who is comfortable with data analysis and visualization and motivated to contribute to operational performance and data-informed decision-making in a healthcare setting.

Responsibilities

Data Collection & Managementย 

  • Collect, clean,ย validate, and organize operational data from internal systems.ย 
  • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across datasets and reports.ย 
  • Maintain structured datasets to support recurring and ad-hoc analysis.ย 

Data Analysis & Reportingย 

  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis toย identifyย trends, variances, and improvement opportunities.ย 
  • Prepare routine and ad-hoc reports to support operational tracking and planning.ย 
  • Support KPI monitoring and performance analysis under the guidance of the Operations Manager.ย 

Data Visualization & Insightsย 

  • Develop andย maintainย dashboards and reports usingย Power BI.ย 
  • Present data findings in a clear and structured manner.ย 
  • Translate data into meaningful insights that support operational and business decisions.ย 

Operations & Team Supportย 

  • Work closely with the Operations Manager on day-to-day analytical tasks and projects.ย 
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to understand data needs and definitions.ย 
  • Respond to data and reporting requests accurately and within established timelines.ย 
Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualificationsย 

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Business, Statistics, Economics, Healthcare Administration, Data Science, Operations, orย a related field.ย 
  • Strong foundational understanding of data concepts, including data structures, data quality, and basic data modeling.ย 
  • Proficiencyย inย Microsoft Excelย (formulas, pivot tables, data analysis).ย 
  • Working knowledge ofย SQLย for querying and extracting data.ย 
  • Experience usingย Power BIย (academic, internship, or project-based experience acceptable).ย 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.ย 
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.ย 
  • Ability to clearly explain data findings to non-technical stakeholders.ย 

Additional Requirementsย 

  • Must be based in New York and able to work on-site full time.ย 
  • Authorized to work in the United States.ย
