Job Purpose: The Financial/Healthcare Analyst will provide financial insights and projections to the executive and management teams by preparing accurate financial and business reports, assisting in the preparation of presentations that provide thorough and thoughtful analysis, identify action items and effectively frame potential financial and business decisions.


DUTIES INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING: 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide support to the accounting team related to productivity, demand, planning, reporting, and metrics in a timely manner.

Identify and understand business challenges; propose and create solutions.

Partner with the executive team to collaborate on metrics, goals, and business reviews.

Dive deeply into financial and business data and become a subject matter expert to provide additional insights with real time monitoring.

Completes market research and comparable company analysis.

Work on corporate projects and initiatives that impact the entire organization.

Create presentations that provide insightful analysis, identify required action items, and effectively frame decisions to be made.

Identify and research variances to forecast, budget, and prior-year expenses, proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

Recommend strategies for increasing financial performance.

Develop and maintain effective relationships with business partners and cross-functional teams at all levels of the organization.

Requirements

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

General knowledge of practice management, healthcare revenue cycle.

General knowledge of accounting/financial/operational principles.

Experience developing financial reports and metrics.

Must possess excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Must possess excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Superior attention to detail and ability to successfully manage multiple competing priorities while maintaining a view of the big picture.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing, fast-paced environment.

Demonstrated ability to drive projects across an organization.

Demonstrates excellent financial and quantitative skills

Must be flexible in carrying out his/her duties. 


QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience: 

3+ years of experience in finance or accounting related fields, preferably in a medical practice setting.

5+ years of experience in healthcare practice management revenue cycle work and reporting.


Education: 

Bachelor's degree in business, economics, finance, accounting, or a related major or equivalent professional experience is required.

Certified Public accountant (CPA) or Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) is preferred.


SUPERVISION: Reports to the Senior Business Healthcare Analyst


WORKING CONDITIONS

Environmental Conditions: Medical Office Setting

Physical Conditions: 

Must be able to work as scheduled - typically from 8:00 - 5:00 M-F 

Must be able to sit and/or stand for prolonged periods of time

Must be able to bend, stoop and stretch
