Patient Account RepresentativePosition Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented Patient Account Representative to support healthcare administrative operations through account verification, data processing, provider enrollment support, and information management. This individual will play a key role in ensuring records are accurate, complete, and up to date by reviewing information, researching missing details, communicating with stakeholders, and updating internal systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and verify account and provider information for accuracy and completeness.
  • Process new information and updates within internal systems and databases.
  • Utilize Microsoft Excel to track, organize, and analyze data.
  • Research and obtain missing information using available resources and system tools.
  • Contact patients, providers, insurance carriers, and other stakeholders as needed to gather or verify information.
  • Review reports and documentation and accurately update electronic records.
  • Support provider credentialing and enrollment activities.
  • Coordinate enrollment of physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals with insurance carriers and healthcare networks.
  • Work with multiple insurance companies to ensure provider enrollment information is accurate and current.
  • Verify provider data, effective dates, and associated enrollment records.
  • Prepare and review documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Prioritize and process urgent requests in a timely manner.
  • Maintain confidentiality and compliance with all applicable privacy and security requirements.
  • Collaborate with billing, operational, and administrative teams to resolve discrepancies.
  • Perform additional administrative and data-entry duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
  • Associate degree preferred.
  • Previous experience in healthcare administration, provider enrollment, billing support, customer service, data entry, or administrative operations preferred.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable communicating by phone and email to obtain required information.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with provider credentialing, enrollment, healthcare administration, patient accounts, medical billing, or revenue cycle operations.
  • Experience handling sensitive or confidential information.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, including Epic or similar platforms.
  • Two-year or four-year college degree preferred.
