Senior Field Superintendent - Pools & Spa (Open to Candidates Nationwide!!)

Hamptons Happiness

East Hampton, NY โ€ข On-site

Job description

Senior Field Superintendent โ€“ Pools & Spa (Open to Candidates Nationwide!!)

East Hampton, NY | $100,000 โ€“ $151,000/year | Open to Candidates Nationwide (Relocation Available)

At Hamptons Happiness (Sparkling Pools), we have a clear winning playbook. Our founder, Ian Fyffe, has spent 45 years perfecting aquatic wellness builds, from sale to completion. 45 year in and we are growing, and it requires a "Tier 1" project/build manager. This is NOT a sit-and-watch from a truck position; we get in the dirt.

You are the Team Captain with gumption to own a $500,000 project. Before the ink is even dry, you are working, aligning the players to assure an on-time, on-budget project that is complete before the deadline, and you are compensated to do so. From the pinning of the first flag until the final water test, you own all of it.

The Playbook Ownership & Execution

When we hand you a luxury pool build, a bespoke sauna, or intricate porcelain decking, that project becomes yours. You own it. You are the team captain of the tradespeople, the technical solver of MEP riddles, and the one who delivers "Tier 1" craftsmanship without needing your hand held.ย

The Technical "Must-Haves"

๏ปฟDon't apply if you can't lead a crew through a complex build or fix a board on the fly. You must have:

  • Pool Building Mastery: 7-10 years in the residential aquatic space.
  • The Hot Tub and Pool Tech Toolbox: Expert repair and configuration of Hayward Omni Logic, Watkins, Gecko, and Balboa systems.
  • Administrative Command: Use Evosus Legacy to manage schedules, job profitability, and material orders.
  • The Gumption Factor: We hire for attitude first. We want the person who:
  • You will own these projects, and your ability to leave your mark and have your name associated with these projects is a credential builder for you.
  • Finds the "audible." The right communication skills when the project's drawings and blueprints meet the reality of the actual project.
  • Leads English- and Spanish-speaking crews by example.

The Handoff and Closeout

This is a 20/80 model; it depends on a seamless "handoff" and a rigorous "closeout".

  • Sales-to-Production Handoff: Sales handles the 20%; you deliver the remaining 80%. Before the project begins, you will work closely with Ian to identify technical risks and clarify the Scope of Work (SOW).
  • The Red Zone Finish: The "punch-list", the last 5% of the project, is everything; it ensures a zero-defect finish and protects the project's profit margin from "fade".
  • Integrated Documentation: Using our project management tool, Evosus ensures that as the lead "runs the ball," the owners have real-time visibility into the project's progress.
  • While "attitude" is our deciding factor, there is a pre-existing technical toolkit requirement: The ability to manage the complex MEP (mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) heart of a luxury wellness build, as well as the following technologies incorporated into these builds.
  • Hayward Omni Logic: Full proficiency in configuring and troubleshooting advanced pool/spa automation.
  • Watkins, Gecko, and Balboa: Expert-level diagnosis of spa packs, including M7 technology and S-Class sensors.
  • Systems Integration: Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electronic and plumbing systems on the fly to prevent project delays.
