Group insurance sales is the process of selling insurance policies that cover a group of people, typically employees of a company or members of an organization, under a single contract. Sales professionals in this field work with businesses to understand their needs and recommend appropriate insurance solutions such as health, dental, life, or disability coverage. The goal is to provide cost-effective, comprehensive benefits that attract and retain employees, while also managing risk for the organization.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a group insurance sales professional?

Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software, quoting tools, and industry-specific platforms is typically required. Outstanding communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills help set top performers apart in this role. These abilities are essential for effectively identifying client needs, closing deals, and maintaining long-term client relationships in a competitive market.

Your primary responsibility is simple:

This role is particularly suited for someone who is competitive, coachable, resilient, comfortable on the phone, organized with follow-up, and motivated by measurable results.

Our primary focus is Florida homeowners insurance, with additional opportunities involving Auto, Flood, Umbrella, and other personal-lines products.
