Job description

Allied Insurance Group is seeking an experienced, licensed insurance sales professional who knows how to build relationships, generate opportunities, and close business without needing to be micromanaged.

This is an outside, commission-only producer opportunity designed for a self-directed insurance professional who wants the ability to focus primarily on developing relationships and producing new business while being supported by an established independent insurance agency.

Allied Insurance Group provides access to agency systems, carrier relationships, operational support, quality-control processes, and customer-service infrastructure so the producer can concentrate on what they do best: prospecting, developing referral relationships, advising prospects, and writing quality business.

This is not an entry-level sales position and is not designed for someone who depends primarily on company-provided leads.

We are looking for producers who can create opportunities through their own professional network, referral relationships, prospecting activity, and business-development efforts.

Our primary personal-lines focus is Florida homeowners insurance, with opportunities to serve clients across additional personal-lines products such as Auto, Flood, Umbrella, and other appropriate coverage solutions.

Success in this role requires entrepreneurial drive, strong relationship-building ability, consistent follow-up, professional sales skills, sound judgment, and the ability to manage your own pipeline and activity.

Responsibilities

Generate new insurance opportunities through personal prospecting, networking, professional relationships, referrals, and other self-generated sources.

Develop and maintain productive referral relationships with professionals such as mortgage brokers, loan officers, Realtors, real-estate professionals, and other appropriate centers of influence.

Identify prospective clients' insurance needs and gather the information necessary to properly evaluate available insurance options.

Present insurance options clearly and professionally while helping prospects understand meaningful differences in price, coverage, deductibles, exclusions, and other relevant considerations.

Produce new Florida personal-lines business, with particular emphasis on homeowners insurance.

Identify appropriate cross-selling opportunities involving Auto, Flood, Umbrella, and other available products.

Consistently prospect, follow up, manage opportunities, and advance prospects through the sales process.

Maintain accurate and timely records of prospecting activity, communications, opportunities, quotes, and sales activity within Allied's approved systems.

Work effectively with Allied's internal quoting, underwriting, quality-control, and service teams.

Submit complete and accurate information necessary for quoting, binding, underwriting, and policy issuance.

Follow Allied procedures, carrier underwriting requirements, licensing requirements, and applicable insurance laws and regulations.

Protect confidential customer and agency information.

Set and manage personal production goals and maintain accountability for individual sales performance.

Participate in required systems, carrier, compliance, and process training.

Maintain professional communication with prospects, clients, referral partners, carriers, and Allied team members.

Write quality business rather than pursuing production at the expense of underwriting quality, compliance, or customer suitability.

Requirements

Active Florida 2-20 Property & Casualty Insurance License.

Demonstrated insurance sales experience or substantial documented success in a comparable relationship-driven sales environment.

Proven ability to generate business independently rather than relying exclusively on company-provided leads.

Demonstrated history of prospecting, relationship development, referral generation, or center-of-influence development.

Strong sales and closing skills.

Ability to explain insurance concepts clearly and professionally to consumers.

Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.

Self-motivated and capable of working independently without constant supervision.

Strong personal organization, time-management, and follow-up discipline.

Comfortable operating in a performance-driven, commission-only compensation environment.

Ability and willingness to consistently use Allied's CRM, agency systems, communication tools, and documented sales processes.

High standards of professionalism, integrity, accuracy, and ethical conduct.

Ability to comply with carrier underwriting requirements and Allied quality-control standards.

Ability to maintain all licensing and continuing-education requirements associated with the position.

Strongly Preferred

Existing Florida personal-lines insurance production experience.

Experience writing Florida homeowners insurance.

Existing relationships with mortgage professionals, Realtors, real-estate professionals, financial professionals, or other referral centers.

Documented history of meeting or exceeding sales quotas.

Existing book of professional relationships or a demonstrated repeatable method for developing new referral sources.

Experience generating a meaningful percentage of personal production through self-generated business.

Experience with Home, Auto, Flood, and Umbrella insurance.

Independent-agency experience.

Familiarity with CRM and agency-management systems.

Bilingual English/Spanish capability is beneficial but not required.

Who This Opportunity Is Best For

This opportunity is particularly well suited for a producer who:

wants control over their income potential;

enjoys developing relationships and generating business;

does not need a manager constantly directing daily activity;

has an established professional network or knows how to build one;

wants to spend more time selling and less time servicing accounts;

values having agency infrastructure behind them;

believes long-term relationships are more valuable than transactional selling;

and wants to build a substantial book of quality insurance business.

Who This Opportunity Is Not For

This position is probably not the right fit for someone who:

Requires a guaranteed salary;

expects Allied to provide all or most sales opportunities;

dislikes prospecting or developing referral relationships;

requires significant day-to-day supervision;

struggles with consistent follow-up;

is uncomfortable being compensated primarily based on production;

or prioritizes closing a sale over doing what is appropriate for the customer.
