Job description

By taking a three-tiered, holistic approach for evaluating security posture and ecosystems, GuidePoint enables some of the nation's top organizations, such as Fortune 500 companies and U.S. government agencies, to identify threats, optimize resources and integrate best-fit solutions that mitigate risk.
The Marketing Coordinator will provide support in building the GuidePoint Security Brand in the North Central region. This team member will assist with event logistics and vendor co-marketing activities under the guidance of the marketing team to help support regional sales & marketing objectives.
Roles and Responsibilities
  • Assist with organizing and executing assigned regional events.
  • Manage the demands of multiple events at once and prioritize accordingly.
  • Ensure deadlines are met for all event related activities, logistics, purchases, promotions, and deliverables.
  • Manage event supplies and shipping coordination of supplies for all events.
  • Collaborate with the team to promote events using Marketo and helping drive registration.
  • Regular communication with leadership - updates on event status and logistics, meeting deadlines, budget requirements, etc.
  • Manage lead acquisition, processing, nurturing and follow-up, ensuring there is a pre-event, at-event, and post-event strategy to increase engagement.
  • Manage and maintain registration lists, event calendar and provide regular updates to the regional team.
  • Support execution of internal regional events.
  • Track and provide reporting on event and campaign metrics.
  • Provide administrative support to marketing team as needed.
  • Provide onsite support for events when needed.
  • Coordinate, collaborate, build, develop, and maintain relationships with vendors as it relates to events.
  • Support the soliciting of marketing funds from GuidePoint's various vendor partners to help sponsor events.
  • E-mail registrants prior to the events to confirm their attendance.
  • Other related duties as needed.

Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • At least 3 years' experience working in event marketing in a corporate environment.
  • Marketo, Eventbrite, or related marketing platform experience required.
  • Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software.
  • Computer skills including a solid understanding of Microsoft Office products, Gmail and Google Cloud.
  • Self-motivated, self-starter with a track record for leading events and the campaigns associated with them.
  • Resourcefulness with a strong ability to problem solve.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent people and relationship-building skills to interact with colleagues, regional teams, and vendor partners.
  • Demonstrated willingness to learn and use AI-enabled tools.
  • Extremely detail oriented and results driven.

Travel Requirements
  • Travel up to 50% for local events within the North Central Region (some events may be hosted in the evening or require weekend travel).
  • This role is based in Cincinnati, with travel primarily throughout Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, and Michigan, with additional travel to other North Central states as needed.
  • Willing to come into the Cincinnati office as needed, typically 1-2 days per week.

Physical Requirements
  • Sedentary work.
  • Substantial movement of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
  • Required to have close visual acuity to view computer terminal and/or extensive reading for a minimum of 8 hours a day.
