Job description

Greenhouse is looking for a Senior Product Manager to lead some of Greenhouse's most strategic initiatives. In this role, you will act as the glue between business strategy, technology, and user experience. You don't just manage tasks; you will drive product vision, prioritize the most valuable features, and influence cross-functional teams without direct authority to deliver products that users love.

Who will love this job
  • Customer Obsessed: Puts the user first, practicing continuous discovery and using empathy to identify real pain points rather than just building what sales or internal stakeholders demand.
  • Ruthless Prioritizer: Focuses on impactful outcomes over outputs, making the tough calls on what moves the needle and tactfully saying "no" to features that don't align with the North Star metric.
  • Influences Without Authority: Because Product Managers do not manage engineers or designers directly, they lead by building credibility, aligning diverse teams, and clearly communicating the "why" behind the product roadmap.
  • Data-Driven Decision Marker: Uses metrics as a critical input to validate ideas, measure success, and iterate, balancing quantitative data with strong product intuition.
  • Delivers Impact: Strong understanding of how to quickly deliver impactful products to market and continuously driving growth and adoption to deliver meaningful results.
What you'll do
  • Strategic Discovery: Conduct deep market research, competitive analysis, and customer interviews to uncover untapped opportunities and validate core product hypotheses.
  • MVP & Validation: Design rapid experiments (prototypes) to validate ideas quickly, mitigate risks, and define your "Minimum Viable Product".
  • Product-Market Fit: Analyze usage data and feedback post-launch to rapidly iterate. Lead the "Go/No-Go" decisions on scaling or pivoting the product.
  • Roadmap Ownership: Define the strategic roadmap and North Star metrics, balancing trade-offs across engineering, design, and business constraints.
  • Risk & Issue Management: Identify, assess, and resolve potential roadblocks or risks, executing mitigation strategies when issues arise.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead multidisciplinary, cross-functional squads of engineers, designers, and data scientists (without direct line management) to ship features rapidly.
  • Go-to-Market (GTM) Strategy: Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, and Finance to develop pricing, positioning, and long-term unit economic models.
You should have
  • Experience: 8+ years of Product Management experience, ideally with at least 3+ years focused on 0-to-1 product development, startup environments, or founding PM roles ideally in B2B SaaS or regulated industry (FinTech, HRTech, Healthcare). Previous experience as a Software Engineer is not a requirement but a plus.
  • Ambiguity Mastery: Thrives in undefined environments where the path forward is not mapped out.
  • Lean Methodology: Expert-level understanding of Lean Startup methodologies, experiment design, and data instrumentation.
  • Technical Depth: Ability to collaborate effectively with engineering teams, understand technical architectures, and evaluate technical trade-offs. This hire must have the ability to help drive and participate in the conversations around technical system architecture, product design, and software development cycles for their area of ownership.
  • AI Fluency: Ability to understand AI/ML capabilities, limitations, and data requirements to build valuable user features and collaborate closely with technical teams using the latest frontier LLMs and when to use simpler, rule-based systems instead.
  • Storytelling: Strong communication and influence skills, with a proven ability to pitch visions and secure buy-in from executive stakeholders. Serve as the central communication hub, providing regular status updates to clients, executives, and team.
  • Your own unique talents! Your background has given you a unique perspective and set of transferable skills that aren't always in alignment with a given role - but those are qualities we value at Greenhouse. If you don't meet 100% of the qualifications outlined above, we still strongly encourage you to apply

Applicants will be required to provide evidence of their right to work in Ireland as part of the application process and it is pre-condition to any offer of employment.  Greenhouse is not in a position to support employment permit applications for candidates for this role.

Greenhouse provides a variety of benefits to employees, including medical, dental, life and disability insurance, mental health resources, financial wellness benefits, and a fully paid parental leave program. For Ireland-based employees, we offer 25 days' vacation and an employer matching pension program.
