Job description

Position Title: Production Graphic Designer
Department: Marketing
Reports To: Production Graphics Manager
Position Scope
GM Industrial is seeking a production graphic designer with the ability to design customized artwork for private label consumer products in a fast-paced environment. This individual must possess the ability to work on multiple customer specific designs at various stages in the process. The graphic designer will work externally with clients to ensure we meet their expectations. This role will involve collaboration across multiple internal departments such as production, customer service and regulatory. This individual must possess strong communication skills, a creative mindset, and the ability to work on concurrent projects to achieve consistent success for our clients. This position will also periodically support the marketing department with artwork design as needed.
Position Requirements
  • Works closely with clients to identify and interpret product labeling design expectations, executes work in a timely fashion and consistently reports status.
  • Ability to manage time and organize projects based on their priority level.
  • Maintains accurate work history and file management controls.
  • Coordinates with label printer partners to ensure appropriate customer requirements are achieved on a consistent basis.
  • Utilize Monday.com project management software to communicate the status of client private label projects with internal departments.
  • Ability to learn and understand basic regulatory compliance standards, apply these standards to label design work, and collaborate with the regulatory department as required to ensure accuracy to these standards.
Education and Qualifications
  • Requires a bachelor’s degree in graphic design.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of professional graphic design experience required.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop).
  • Results driven with demonstrated organization and time management skills.
  • Familiarity with Monday project management workflow software is desirable.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate complex topics up, across, and down through the organization.
