Job description

The Senior Graphic Designer collaborates with cross-functional teams across designated brands in designing Sticker Guide art including character art, prints and graphic compositions for consumer products. This role is responsible for assisting in the conceptualization, design, and execution of assets for attention-grabbing designs using color, graphics, and typography to create Sticker Guide assets that resonate with our target markets. The senior graphic designer influences all consumer facing design initiatives for outbound licensed products. This role acts as a support for the senior leadership within the team, and a mentor and trainer for junior staff. 

What You Will Do: 

  • Support the product Design Manager throughout the design process (including brainstorming, design, prototype development, and production)
  • Develop innovative designs (print patterns and graphic compositions) that are up-to-date with current trends while also maintaining the aesthetics and brand integrity
  • Strong background in graphic design and fashion design
  • Highly creative and trend-forward thinker
  • Strong knowledge of fashion trends and collaborations within Lifestyle genres
  • Strong knowledge of product development executions in apparel, accessories, beauty, stationary, footwear and more
  • Actively research and evaluate consumer and market trends to keep Sticker Guide up-to-date
  • Produce mood boards, trend-boards, that communicate design-direction and insights    
  • Collaborate to develop and implement strategies across design collections
  • Collaborate closely with internal cross functional teams to ensure all content is on brand and consistent in terms of style, quality, tone, and voice 
  • Prep final files for production to be shared with licensing partners
  • Maintain Sticker Guide document layout and organization of graphic assets on Google Drive
  • Responsible for managing timeline requirements and maintaining schedule to support production independently
  • Able to multi-task on several priorities ensure development milestones are met
  • Ensure designs accurately represent the company’s brand
  • Lead communication with outside vendors to execute projects as needed
  • Complete mock-up designs using appropriate computer software as needed
  • Follow workflow and sign-off protocols to ensure final deliverables are error-free

What We Are Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree in graphic design, fashion design, art, illustration design or other related field is a plus. 
  • 6+ years of experience in graphic design or illustration 
  • Experience creating style guides is a plus
  • Strong graphic design skills and conceptual skills
  • An eye for innovation and creativity
  • Able to make strategic, well-informed decisions and meet deadlines
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop productive and professional relationships
  • Effective and efficient visual, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of consumer production printing processes (color and material limitations)
  • Exhibit interest and proactively gains knowledge of the current trends/innovations as well as an understanding the competitive marketplace in the lifestyle genre/consumer product industry 
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office & G-Suite 
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign, AI Design)              
  • Able to work cross functionally and reciprocally with multiple departments
  • Able to work independently or collaboratively

What We Offer  

The salary range for this position is $72,000 - $87,850 / Yr. The base salary may vary based on experience, role tenure, performance, industry, and location. Eligibility for the annual performance incentive may apply. Jazwares is a multi-state employer, so the salary range may not apply to other states.   

Our benefits package includes basic medical insurance that is 100% company-paid for employees and their children, employee basic life and AD&D insurance, a 401(K) retirement program with Jazwares matching up to 4% of pretax or post-tax deferrals, short and long-term disability, and tuition reimbursement.    

Our work environment provides a flexible work schedule that includes Monday through Thursday on-site, with an optional WFH on Fridays, up to 20 workdays fully remote each year, and Time Off for vacation and sick leave.  Through Jazwares Cares, you will have the opportunity to volunteer for up to 16 hours a year on community service projects.
