HOEHN MASTER

Carlsbad, CA

$25 - $28/hr

Full-time

Re-posted 4 days ago

Job description

Company: Hoehn Motors

Location: Carlsbad, CA (in-person)

Reports to: Marketing Manager

About the Role

Hoehn Motors is a family-owned, multi-brand dealership group representing 7 brands in Carlsbad (Audi, Honda, Jaguar, Land Rover, Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, and Sprinter) and a second Audi dealership in Temecula. We are hiring a Graphic Designer & Marketing Coordinator to help drive creative production across all our stores, supporting magazine ads, signage, digital creative, email graphics, and landing pages, alongside copywriting, web execution, and event support.

This is a hands-on role for someone who can switch between disciplined execution within strict OEM brand systems for store-level work and contributing creative ideas to Hoehn-owned campaigns, events, and group-level brand initiatives (Hoehn Cares, Cars & Coffee, signature events, magazine activations, the 'Your Local Dealership Group' brand campaign). Great opportunity for someone looking to grow within an established multi-brand marketing operation.

What You'll Do

Graphic Design & Creative Production

  • Design and produce print and digital creative across all our stores: magazine ads, signage (showroom, service drive, event activations), digital ads, web banners, email creative, vehicle decals, brochures, and branded merchandise
  • Contribute creative ideas to Hoehn-owned work: group-level brand campaigns, Hoehn Cares initiatives, signature events, and other Hoehn Motors-branded creative
  • Follow each manufacturer's brand guidelines for store-level work covering logo usage, typography, color, imagery, layout, and approved templates
  • Adapt OEM-supplied creative for our brand voice and store-level needs while maintaining manufacturer brand integrity
  • Coordinate with print shops on production, proofing, and quality control

Email Marketing, Newsletters & Copywriting

  • Support customer newsletters and email marketing across all stores: planning, writing, asset production, scheduling, and sending
  • Write web copy for landing pages, emails, specials, About Us updates, and on-site campaigns

Web & Digital Execution

  • Post monthly specials and incentives across all dealership websites: create banners, add specials to the dedicated page, and apply compliant disclaimers and offer terms with input from the Marketing Manager
  • Build and launch campaign landing pages from scratch or via templates (HTML, CSS, CMS tools)
  • Implement on-page updates: VDP/SRP edits, website pages, banners, disclaimers, navigation changes, inventory fixes
  • Coordinate with OEM platforms and external dev partners

Marketing Operations & Brand Coordination

  • Coordinate monthly specials rollout across digital, email, print, and in-store signage

Events & Community

  • Help execute Hoehn signature events: Cars & Coffee, Hoehn Cares volunteer days, sponsorships, OEM events, campaigns, holidays, golf tournaments
  • Build pre/post-event assets: invite emails, on-site signage, thank-you communications

What You'll Bring

Required

  • Portfolio required (link or PDF) showing range across print, digital, and brand work
  • Strong graphic design skills in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, with discipline executing inside brand guideline systems
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in graphic design, marketing, or a hybrid role (relevant internship or agency work counts)
  • Basic HTML and CSS. Comfortable editing templates and building simple landing pages
  • Comfort with a website CMS (WordPress, Dealer Inspire, Webflow, or similar)
  • Willingness to learn compliance basics for promotional copy (California disclosure rules, OEM requirements)
  • CRM and email marketing platform experience (Mailchimp, Klaviyo, or comparable)

Preferred

  • Adobe Creative Suite or Figma for asset production
  • Comfort using AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini) for marketing workflows
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics 4 (or willingness to ramp fast)
  • Event coordination background

Working Environment

  • In-person at our Carlsbad office
  • Occasional travel to Temecula and event sites
  • Standard business hours with occasional event-day flexibility (weekends and evenings)

Compensation

Hourly Range: $25 to $28 per hour, depending on experience. Actual compensation depends on skill set, qualifications, and experience.
