In the role of Senior Layout Designer, we'll count on you to:
  • Document layout for medium to large qualifications packages and proposals, along with other documents on an as needed basis
  • Design of document templates/mood boards
  • Coordination with graphic artists, other layout artists, proposal managers, and marketing coordinators in a team-environment
  • Assist department staff with layout and production inquiries and file maintenance
  • Coordinate and/or produce documents in Adobe InDesign or Microsoft Word
  • Assist in training other coordinators on In Design, as requested
  • May include document editing, research, and working with the local office where the project is being managed
  • Ability to produce visually compelling documents on brand as well as external teaming partner brands
  • Manage production of multiple pursuits
  • Support implementation of key growth initiatives related to pursuits
  • Support creation of marketing collateral to support business development efforts
  • Maintain inventory of branded pursuits used for inspiration and ideation for pursuit leaders and business development teams
  • Able to run a Brand Check of proposals
  • Able to present layout process to new employees (marketing staff)
  • Able to conduct onboard training of new team members with Brand Guidelines and Basic InDesign Knowledge
  • Lead initiatives
  • Mentor new staff

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree business, marketing, journalism, management, graphics, or related field
  • 5 years experience in the architecture, engineering, construction industry
  • Knowledge of entire CS standard
  • Ability to travel and engage with others in person

  • A minimum of 5 years relevant industry experience
  • Experience with and interest in technology as it relates to documents and layout
  • Excellent oral and written communication
  • Excellent typing, spelling and proofreading skills
  • Demonstrated "self-starter"
  • Customer service, communication skills, flexibility, time management, project management, attention to detail, negotiation skills, leadership, multitasking and teamwork
  • Meticulous attention to visual design principles, fonts, and use of color
  • Exceptional attention to detail and proven production of high-quality documents
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud applications including InDesign
  • History of completing projects with limited oversight
  • Extensive knowledge of production processes, both print and digital
  • Provide constructive feedback, and accept constructive criticism
