Job Summary:

Gallery Dept. is seeking an experienced, personable, and well-organized Production Graphic Designer to join our team. This position requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong problem-solving abilities, the ability to remain focused under pressure, and exceptional attention to detail. Previous experience as Graphic Designer is required, as well as a strong understanding of the fashion/art world, the community, and the clients we cater to.


Production Graphic Designer  


Duties and Responsibilities:   

  • Create original graphics for apparel and accessories and prepare production-ready files for screen printing, embroidery, heat transfers, trims, labels, and other applications.
  • Create and maintain art sheets with artwork size, placement, colors, and technique details.
  • Adapt artwork placement and scale for different garment styles and cut-and-sew construction.
  • Create garment CADs, placement mockups, color separations, and repeat patterns.
  • Review strike-offs and garment samples and provide revision callouts as needed.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and vendors on artwork files, updates, and approvals.
  • Organize and maintain the Graphic Library, line sheets, and project trackers.
  • Manage multiple projects while meeting development and production deadlines.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of screen printing, ink types, and other apparel print techniques.
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is required.
  • Experience with illustration, typography, color separations, and production-ready artwork.
  • Experience creating placement graphics, repeat patterns, and all-over prints.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to pivot quickly in response to changing needs and priorities.
  • Dependable, organized, and able to work collaboratively.
  • Strong attention to detail and file organization.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.


Education and Experience:

  • 5+ years of experience in a similar role.
  • Freehand illustration and typography skills are preferred.
  • Experience with PLM systems, Excel, and photo editing is a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements: 

  • Comfortable standing for long periods of time, physically mobile; can lift up to 25 pounds
  • Work long days when needed
